Wow. Thats genuinely so sweet. Just donate an umbrella to make sure someone else's day isn't total dogshit

[-] radix@lemm.ee 23 points 1 year ago

That really is so kind. I guess it is easier to remove, wash, and dry a human body and clothes than a car's upholstery and carpet, but to actually do it is another thing.

[-] WhiskyTangoFoxtrot@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

Even easier to remove, wash and dry an umbrella. A human body would also have worked, though.

[-] Franzia@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 1 year ago

Don't wash a human body before you cook it, the water splashes pathogens all over. It's a health violation.

[-] PR3CiSiON@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Yeah but every time I do that to a human body I get prison time.

Does anyone actually use their sunroof. I have one on my car but never really use it

[-] TheGiantKorean@lemmy.world 10 points 1 year ago

Uaed mine all the time. It was nice.

[-] the_third@feddit.de 9 points 1 year ago

Had a targa roof in my second car, you bet that I was always the first in our circle of friends to have a sunburn in spring.

It's paid for, it gets used. Also I live in the sticks, slow speeds, lots of narrow curvy roads, pleasant nature. In the city I would probably have used it a lot less.

[-] snooggums@kbin.social 5 points 1 year ago

I do once the sun is down.

[-] Pyr_Pressure@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 year ago

I do quite often, it's nice to have the fresh air and slight breeze without the loud noise from an open side window that also blows your hair all over.

[-] raptor102888@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

I use mine sometimes. But I would never park my car and leave the sunroof open.

[-] Switchy85@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 year ago

Trust me, it's never intentional.

Might not represent the population but it airs out a toke pretty damn well

[-] XaeroDegreaz@lemmy.world 15 points 1 year ago

Seems like a super tall person to be able to notice such a thing.

Happened to me once, inside of my car was absolutely soaked, puddles on the floor even. I let it dry in the sun with windows open for a while after drying off as best I could. Still soaked. Solution was putting it in the garage, taking a dehumidifier and sticking it in the bank seat and running it over night. By morning it was dry as a bone.

[-] madcaesar@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

You had me at bank seat and bone!

[-] Audbol@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

I mean worst case Ontario it's marginally dryer

[-] kraftpudding@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

Dehumidifiers are magic tbh. We have one in our basement to prevent mold in the room we use to hang our washing. It turns the whole room into a dryer, even jeans dry within 3 hours. I love it.

Hot tip: if your skylight gets smashed in by hail or branches during a storm, you can use an umbrella like this to keep most of the rain out until you can get it repaired.
