They're making the sun do forced labor?
(coming for your sun)
They're gonna build a Dyson Sphere and put all the to work welding together the frame.
Dyson spheres would require so much energy and material to construct that to be able to build one you wouldn't need it in the first place. Dyson clusters are closer to doable
Counterpoint:
Really though, you're right, the closest thing they'd ever be useful for is as stellar engines since you could theoretically make them have a lot more surface area on one side and they would slowly accelerate a star exerting pressure on the structure. So some kind of type 3 civilization could be moving stars around over millions of years.
I watched the text commentary for.that TNG episode with Scotty and Michael Okuda their art director and science guy explained it.
Uncritical support to this idea
Of course, they're ethnically cleansing the people so they can build solar farms where their houses used to be
That video someone shared a couple weeks ago was pretty wild. The job recruiters reminded me of military recruiters from when I was a kid, but with much less lying and glorification of murder than I experienced.
Can't believe they evicted Cenk for this
don't they know? Xinjiang is literally a place
The Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region is a place where there are many Uyghur people living autonomously from the central government.
Autonomously authoritarian :smuglord:
That solar farm produces over twice as much electricity as the entire country of Zimbabwe, that's incredible.
Have we done a cost benefit analysis yet? So many newspapers are gonna wanna know!
5gw that's fucking crazy
it doesnt run on sun energy it runs on muslim people in xinjiang actually!!!
But at what cost to the global market?
