Hey Android enthusiasts!

I'm looking to spruce up my Android device and would love to know your favorite icon pack.

Share the name and what makes it special to you.

Is it the design, variety of icons, or compatibility with your launcher?

Any tips for customizing Android's appearance are welcome too!

Thanks! ๐Ÿค—

Every new phone setup I mess around with different icon packs but I always go back to Delta: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=website.leifs.delta

It's insane how many icons they have, especially for a free pack

[-] Fisch@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 year ago

That's because it's open source

I love Borealis and Arcticons (Light/Dark/You) as there is a broad selection of app coverage (even some more local apps to the Netherlands) and I just like the simplicity of the icon packs

Another vote for Borealis. It has icons for almost every single app I use, even Canada specific apps.

Huge fan of Verticons: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spaceman.verticonspro

I just love the unusual shape and the aesthetic overall. Using it with Nova and a very dense layout - I can barely see my wallpaper, but I like it that way.

Got used to these so much, phones with "normal" shaped icons look weird to me now :)

These look so fun! Definitely gonna check them out.

Lines - it's a white outlined pack.

Been using it for years with my OLED black and white setup.

Wife uses CandyCons.

I used Lines for years, but got bored and switched to Viral

Been using Flora almost exclusively for years now.

I'm using Pix Material You for a long time. It has dozens of icons and adaptive icons too

[-] Wahyu915@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

You can also donate to the dev to have your apps to be designed & included in the pack.

I'm sticking with Lawnicons for Lawnchair launcher. I'm on a pixel, but I find the lack of customization on the pixel launcher atrocious.

One of my favorites is Umbra. I like the vivid clean circles, and it has wide compatability, working smoothly with Nova Launcher, but also working well with Samsung OneUI 5.1 (which many icon packs only partially work with). https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ryanmkelly.me.umbra

I use Arcticons You because it's open-source and can add in any icons that are missing. (Delta too)

For launcher I use KISS launcher.

I'm using the Nothing icon set bought it because I also have the Nothing phone 1. It suits the phone obviously but it lacks so many games and things, I couldn't really recommend it at this point I put in icon requests months ago and have seen no difference at all.

Best I can do at an uploaded image as I haven't figured lemmy out yet https://ibb.co/j4PxyFF

I was using Fluent Icon Pack but it doesn't seem to have been updated in a long time.
The past two years I'm using stock OneUI icons and launcher and occasionally change it to Niagara Launcher.

I've used so many over the years, but have stuck with Viral the last couple of years. It's a very comprehensive icon set and I like the dark-ish theme.
