Felix said it best, everyone saying “just give him until the September debate” as if the time is what solves dementia.

The Trillbilly boys are betting he dies before the election (inshallah)

[-] ShimmeringKoi@hexbear.net 28 points 2 years ago

I hope he sticks around just long enough to become cognizant of losing to Trump, and then he crumbles to dust like he drank from the wrong grail

[-] freagle@lemmygrad.ml 15 points 2 years ago

I don't think him losing to Trump will phase him. He will peacefully transition the office and be proud of it because he knows Trump will continue the policies he instated, just as he did for Trump.

[-] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 11 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

He chose unwisely.

[-] SoyViking@hexbear.net 13 points 2 years ago

I hope he dies exactly when it is too late to replace him on the ballot and they have to let people vote for the dead guy

[-] marxisthayaca@hexbear.net 12 points 2 years ago

October surprise babeee

[-] BurgerPunk@hexbear.net 51 points 2 years ago

He's been like this publicly since 2019. Libs are just now finding out

[-] Justice@lemmygrad.ml 36 points 2 years ago

Seriously

Literally we called him "Joe Hiden" during the latter portion of the 2020 primary and the election

Because the more he was seen publicly the more people were like "holy shit this guy is demented!"

[-] BurgerPunk@hexbear.net 19 points 2 years ago

iTs A sTuTeR!!!!!!

I got so sick of that excuse. Libs are something else.

They never even understood that Biden one not just because Covid reflected badly on the Trump admin, but because it allowed him to hide and not canpaign! It wasn't even Biden winning, it was judt Trump losing

I think we're a few months away from seeing him do a McConnel. It'd be incredible if it happened during the next debate.

[-] RiotDoll@hexbear.net 48 points 2 years ago

i can't believe this ancient mummy is acting senile!!!! nobody, and i mean nobody, has been pointing this out for years now. how could we, collectively, liberal society, have seen this coming??????

[-] Infamousblt@hexbear.net 42 points 2 years ago

Honestly I'm sad this is happening now rather than when he was re elected. Not because I want him to be re elected but because it would be way funnier if he had been elected and then immediately went into 4 years of ever worsening and ever funnier decline

[-] HexBeara@hexbear.net 36 points 2 years ago

Maybe then we could push him left?

[-] Infamousblt@hexbear.net 40 points 2 years ago

Could easily push him over at least

[-] HexBeara@hexbear.net 26 points 2 years ago
[-] AcidSmiley@hexbear.net 14 points 2 years ago

hexbear emojis clearly show you can only push him to the right: biden-fall

[-] corgiwithalaptop@hexbear.net 10 points 2 years ago

Quick! To the lathe!

[-] yogthos@lemmygrad.ml 20 points 2 years ago

that would've been incredible

[-] SoyViking@hexbear.net 10 points 2 years ago

With a little bit of luck you can still get something quite similar from Trump

[-] ShimmeringKoi@hexbear.net 38 points 2 years ago

I am shocked that the passage of time has not ameliorated this problem

[-] chungusamonugs@hexbear.net 36 points 2 years ago

I could almost excuse the liberal pearl clutching at this as ignorance if Biden was at least kind in public, but for the past 6 years almost every public interaction, scripted or not, Biden has been atrocious. Even when he's lucid, he insults people, is mean on purpose, and dismisses legitimate concerns and issues people ask him about.

The perfect embodiment of the Democratic party.

brump

Americans literally just want Trump. Republicans got Trump and the dems all got mad that they weren't allowed to like him because he was on the wrong team so they needed one of their own

The president will live forever unless an adventuring party finds and destroys his phylactery. The president has hidden his phylactery in the best spot, and he definitely remembers where that is.

If he was XIX century Polish peasant, he would have to go into the woods at least 20 years before.

[-] Dolores@hexbear.net 22 points 2 years ago
[-] IzyaKatzmann@hexbear.net 15 points 2 years ago

can someone explain the referencd and or historical context for an unlearned amerikan?

[-] PolandIsAStateOfMind@lemmygrad.ml 21 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

When starvation came, old people were commiting suicide and claiming they are "going to hunt", "going to wood to forage", "going on the road". Then women. Then children were killed/discarded in woods/dropped at church. I bet some of my ancestors also died like that since i'm coming from poor peasantry. (not only in Poland ofc, basically every country have such stories)

Dark card of history, useful to remind in case of burning hatred for landowners falling below acceptable level. Also worth to remember when some primitivist scum advocate for return to subsistence farming.

[-] D61@hexbear.net 19 points 2 years ago

When you get old, you go out into the woods to meet your fate.

Hey, I spent a lot of money. I'm not some nobody. Where's my access!

Donors have complained that Biden's team has barred them from asking questions even at small group events, unusual at high-dollar political fundraisers.

Tennis shoes are presidental?

Biden also sometimes wears tennis shoes and uses a shorter series of steps to Air Force One, to reduce the chances he might trip.

This tidbit is at the very end of the article.

At the White House nine days before the debate, four people who were present said they worried about the president's fitness after observing him at a celebratory gathering to announce a new policy to help immigrants.

Under the sparkling chandeliers in the East Room on June 18, the president seemed off. He appeared frail as he navigated to the stage before the packed crowd of more than 100 people. He sometimes mumbled. In one jarring moment, he appeared to freeze while introducing Mayorkas, and then waved it off as a joke. A White House aide said the difficulty with Mayorkas's name in that moment stemmed from Biden's stutter.

Aides reportedly said it was Biden being Biden.

But others at the event said lawmakers and other attendees whispered concerns about Biden's fitness over iced tea at the White House afterward, as a mariachi band played.

"Everyone talked about it with each other," said a former Biden administration official who attended the event. "We were all like 'That was horrible. We're going to lose the election.'"

An advocate who was in the room recalled saying to others after the event, "he's not going to make it four more years," adding "he's walking like an old man."

"I was in shock," the person said. "It was like I was seeing something nobody else was seeing. … It was so obvious to me."

[...]

The former Biden official was struck by the moments the president seemed less like himself and worried about what it would mean about his ability to take on Trump. The former official came away from the event thinking to themselves: "I don't know how that man's going to debate next week."

[-] freagle@lemmygrad.ml 15 points 2 years ago

That they think they're going to lose because of Biden's health instead of Biden's execution of his office shows how far out of touch these people are. God it's going to be a bloody 2030

[-] Guamer@hexbear.net 14 points 2 years ago

He's like Old Snake

[-] HumongousChungus@hexbear.net 10 points 2 years ago

hahahahahahahaha of course it is, you thought the accelerated aging and decline post-COVID infection only applied to poor people, didn't ya Joe, hahahahhahahahahaha

American politics: Discussion and effort posts on the (potential) material impacts of American electoral politics is welcome, but the never-ending circus of American Politics© Brought to You by Mountain Dew™ is not welcome. This refers to polling, pundit reactions, electoral horse races, rumors of who might run, etc.

  8. Electoralism: Please try to avoid struggle sessions about the value of voting/taking part in the electoral system in the West. c/electoralism is right over there.
