I'm writing massive essays that no one asked for about Dark Souls.
Helldivers got the MLX commando four shot laser guided rocket launcher. It's fun. Seems like a nice side-grade to the EAT17.

I will never give up the Eat-It. Half the fun is littering the battlefield with rockets that may or may not come in clutch 20 minutes later.
Is the game working for PC again? Ever since that bug that tanks framerate any time you entered a menu completely killed my interest in trying to play.
Got the full version of Dragon Quest XI after completing the demo. Just met Sylvando. What an icon.
I dunno why I'm suddenly on this RPG kick.
We did a 24 hour race on iRacing. It was wild with the rain.
Nice, what event?
They have a semi-weekly 24 hour series right now to get around the licensing for LeMans since they can’t run it as a special event. This week was Daytona.
Fun, what car were you running and how long was your shift?
We had 12 drivers in the M4 so everyone took 2 hours.
The m4 is such a fun car

It's interesting but it's so hard to get things to line up. Is there some kind of snap to grid option I haven't found. Also the tutorial popup minister of transportation keeps popping up again and again to tell me how to move my crops to the factory but they're still growing and my vehicle depot is already set up.
I can't say much about the game, but while it seems really cool, it's also 100% one of the more complex/difficult city builders. So, either way, take your time and take it slow. If you struggle, make a thread on here. I know some folks have played the game for a while.
Finished with Elden Ring, for good for now I think. Picked up Cobalt Core to scratch the ever-present deck builder/roguelike itch. I keep trying Dwarf Fortress and Rimworld, but I end up bouncing off those because I get bored/frustrated setting up priorities and zones and all that just to watch things go awry because someone didn't want to build a bedroom/ bathroom/ grave.
Been looking for a 4X I can dive into, really want to try Dominions 6 while the multiplayer is still fresh and decently populated, but I have no income so I've been having to get my games off the high seas so to speak, and Dom 6 is niche enough that I haven't found any that work. Anyone have suggestions for other games in that vein?
I can't think of many games that are like Dominions 6, except Conquest of Elysium 5 (same devs), which is a bit different and simpler.
If you mean 4X games in general, Stars in Shadow is currently very cheap—it's about 6€ for me on Steam (including its DLC). It's a Master of Orion 1-2 inspired 4X game made by a single dev. One nice thing about it is you can play a game rather quickly, so no 10+ hour sessions for a full game.
I like it quite a bit, but the scope is a bit smaller, so it's not a game for 300+ hours in my opinion.
I love 4X/Grand Strategy games, so if you give me more to work with, I can give you better recommendations.
Cobalt Core is super fun!
Sins of a Solar Empire? It's an RTS/4X hybrid!
Deus Ex! Hopefully Ill get a couple sessions in when the kid is napping
Finished Shadow of the Erdtree.
I picked up Unicorn Overlord on discount. Haven't really played it - the few times I've had time for games I've been too sleepy for a narrative heavy strategy RPG.
Edit: I forgot I've finally gotten near the end on Tunic. Just have the final boss, and might use a guide to see the secrets if I'm still feeling like it.
unicorn overlord lets gooo
Yeah, initial impressions are "this is Vanillaware making an Ogre Battle game with a Fire Emblem plot." I'd rather have a Fire Emblem game with an Ogre Battle plot, but what can you do
Shadow of the Erdtree, finally at the last boss, though I've been taking lots of breaks to help my bf catch up.
I also got Liftoff, a fpv drone simulator. I already had a drone transmitter for my combat robots, so I got a cable to plug it into my computer and now I can practice flying fpv without constantly crashing an expensive drone while learning.
I recently tried Dark Messiah of Might and Magic for the first time. It sucks ass, I love it.
doing a more completionist playthrough of shadow of the erdtree since my first playthrough was the race against spoilers and my second playthrough was a boss fight highlight reel to show my partner after they got home from visiting friends for a few days.
i started gregtech new horizons Minecraft Modpack and can feel myself getting sucked in, it's very slow but satisfying progress
Elden Ring! Made a blasphemous blade build and am now bored to tears, respeccing to an Executioner's Sword build and will pivot to meteoric sword in the DLC.
Edit: nabbed the metioric sword and went back to the base gsme, it's so much fun.
still playing Trails into Reverie. Gonna play Trails Through Daybreak next and from what I've heard it's reviewing well so that's good to hear.
Started ZZZ and it's pretty mid. Probably gonna drop it or just play it very casually since i'm playing too many gachas. Compared to Genshin and Star Rail they're really pandering to the weeb gooners with this one. The jiggle physics are turned up to 11 and there's only like two male characters lol.
Just about to go back to Shadow of the Erdtree, need to get serious about making progress but I'm still holding myself to my self imposed rule of not beating the main bosses in my game until I've helped someone else beat them in co-op
5D Chess with Multiverse Time Travel, I think I've got how to move the knights backward in time but not across dimensions yet
Honestly, I'm not convinced that it's possible to become competent at that game. It's so ridiculously complicated in ways that are so unintuitive that I feel like you have to be a computer to even try.
Slowly working my way up to Koga in Red. I decided to just grind and get Surge done early since the Lavander-Celadon path was my next step to grab Roland the Growlithe, gen in Mika the Vulpix, catch Dodi the Dodrio, buy Rory the Porygon, snag Fly and the Silph Scope.
The Safari Zone is about to either be quick, or a new form of purgatory.
Dave the diver and tried playing Raft for the first time and I am struggling lol
I should've looked at more game play and realized it has controls that i avoid in games but
Gonna play it tomorrow with my partner and im hoping I get the hang of it with them
I was playing Elden Ring, but one of my PC components went kaput so I'm waiting on an RMA Think I'm gonna start playing the fan translation of Pokemon TCG 2 for the Game Boy Color--the original game is one of my all-time favorites (absolute BANGER of a soundtrack, too), and I've been meaning to play it for a while. Also eyeing a Pikmin 2 playthrough, since I did a Pikmin 1 Best Ending run recently to avenge kid!me and really enjoyed myself--game just has impeccable vibes.
Elden Ring with a friend who's new to the game, using cheatengine so that every time we find a weapon, I replace it with one from the DLC so I can try them out. Going to make the ultimate stupid quality build (all 5 combat stats at 40).
I wanted to play Interstellar Space Genesis last weekend, but real life had other plans for me. So, I'm going to start it this Sunday instead. It's a 4X game by a small team that has received high praise from fans of the genre. It follows in the footsteps of Master of Orion 2.
Balatro has made me accidentally stay up until 5am once this week. Devil game.
im real deep in morrowind rn. not even advancing the main quests just sooooo much to do in TR and i haven't seen half of it yet. think i'll take this legion knight through the whole nerevarine thing to say ive done it then move on to non-nerevar (random start mod) builds.
"Fucking off and pretending you have amnesia?! Is that what we're playing at, sweet Nevevarine? Is this how you honour the Sixth House, and the tribe unmourned?
... Did you pick a Me-damned cat‽"
Just picked up Sekiro and wow this combat is rewarding and this game is beautiful
Best souls-like because it has a pause button lol
I've been working through my backlog on Steam
I finished Twin Mirror last night and today I started Kona II. I'm couple of hours in and so far it's been a little meh. Graphics are great and all but it just doesn't have the same atmosphere than the first Kona had
Somehow ZZZ has its hooks into me. It's just light enough for me want to keep playing it. Is it good? Sort of? but it's bright and colorful and gives me fun vibes when I play it so I'll see how long I can keep up with it.
Rimworld, as always, with Squad filling up the rest of my time. Have an elden ring playthrough going, but I'm having a real milsim kick at the moment.
Kind of wish there was more milsims like squad out, ngl. Squad has some real shit performance.
Edit: shit, didn't mean to reply to the this comment. Sorry, shouldn't comment so early in the am.
In total warhammer 3 i played a campaign as the empire and got kinda far, i was able to kill the beastmen early and weaken the orcs in middenland so that toddbringer could built up and survive after that i saw that the barrow legion attacked and took mareinburg so i got close and took it for myself and decided to got to brettonia to finish them then i sold the provinces to bretonnia and got them as an ally and all of that gave me a really strong start from with right now only drycha and vlad are the only threats to take out
but after watching a video i decided to start a new campaign as Nakai and i did really well, i took over most of the donut with only the vampirates and ellarion left but im going to kill him before i attack the dread fleet, thanks to cults and other stuff i have vassalize allariel, tyrion, Throgg and Malus and right now im working in trying to get the sisters of twilight too
The homie dragged me back to Destiny, and it's Iron Banana week; so it's time to commit egregious amounts of Lightbearer-on-Lightbearer violence for the adulation of ~~Gabriel Reyes~~ Iron Lord Saladin, and godrolls of some of the sexiest weaponry (next to Old Man Drifter's) the Last City has to offer. (I'm a sucker for old-world, 'wood and gunmetal' weapon design, ESPECIALLY in post-apoc futuristic shooters.)
Tabletop, DnD, board games, and minecraft. Also Animal Crossing.
