Forget practicality and cargo bikes, the utilitarian fat tyre commuter ones too. I want to see what this community thinks the ones that look badass are.

(Excluding concepts please)

I don't think any of the cargo bikes posted are cool at all. And while I don't know a lot about E-bikes (I subconsciously think they are kinda cheating) I searched for a little bit for a bike I think looked decent.

This is probably my favourite design after a few minutes of research.

I like the simplicity and the straight edges. I also like the futuristic designs companies usually like put out, even when people love to bash them.

They absolutely do. Something about being so low makes it feel faster too.

Marin Sausalito 2 is kinda sexy IMO but I'm a sucker for utilitarian design. I like the look of Tern's cargo bikes too.

Funny that you mention cargo bikes and fat tires because to me they both look cool af.

Especially this kind of cargo bikes: Creme Happy Wagon e-bike

I was watching Ford Vs Ferarri and Lee Iacoca was doing the whole speech about how Ford doesnt have the sex appeal of Ferarri and I started to think that E-Bikes might have the same issue when it comes to widespread public desire to own one.

Realistically some of the ones that I think are aestheticaly "Cool" I would probably never buy because for several thousand dollars I do need a measure of practicality. I own a pickup because its what I need, I want a Ferarri because of how it looks.

Do you have a name/manufacturer/price?

[-] nawordar@lemmy.ml 2 points 4 months ago

This one is Creme Happy Wagon. Actually, I entered the name in the alt text, but I see that Jerboa doesn't display that. It costs 18k PLN (~$4660) in my country.

I'm a big fan of the cruiser style from Flyer, idk what exactly I like about it, it just looks really classic. https://flyer.radioflyer.com/products/flyer-cruiser-step-thru

It's a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:

Don't be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.

Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.

Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.
