One of the coolest things about the moderation being shit is that everyone can agree on that, but nobody agrees on exactly why.

For some people they're nazis leaving evil posts up.

For other people they're nazis policing reasonable speech.

For yet other people they're embodied by that one idiot from antiwork who decided to go on Fox News for some inconceivable reason...

The decentralized fediverse is great because everyone can find a community more like what they're looking for or just start their own site.
