it makes me sad. the people yearn for a new arena shooter but esports ready slop is what we're getting. it doesn't look fun at all and in terms of stuff like movement mechanics it's a clear devolution from team fortress and dumbing down of those things ala overwatch.
Honestly I think this game feels closer to Smite than Overwatch.
It's Smite but with more involved fps aiming and guns.
I never really played Smite unfortunately. Honestly I don't hate it, I just think it's fairly uninspired.
I liked Paragon.
Felt like it didn't get a fair shake. There was a good game in there, just needed some polish and good matchmaking / ranked.

Overprime died and predecessor is not long for this world. Interestingly, neither major reboot had the content of the final state of Paragon Global, and started from about six months of updates before closure of original paragon. They both reworked decks in a way I didn't really enjoy personally anyway
From a company that already has an fps moba series
Just make team fortress 3 if you really want to do that again

Hey what if we have one enby character that never gets a single special edition skin but we have 10 different age ambiguous anime girls that get 15 different swimsuit edition skins.
I really like the game. Valve are doing some interesting things (rail system, movement in general) and I think it's generally just fun. There are some aesthetic things that need attention with the map and UI, but otherwise I'm optimistic
It reminds me of what Paladins used to be and I already dig it for that alone

I've been playing Abrams and Dynamo and he was awful to lane against as Dynamo lol
I just saw Infernus's whole design, and the fact that his hat is definitely the same unusual my Pyro wears, and it was like I could hear the voice of the divine telling me "him, he's the one. That is Himothy." I've just gotta figure out how his everything links together to stack up is all

The joke is that Valve are currently doing closed testing for a "DOTA but it's Overwatch" game.

Overwatch is already TF2 but with MOBA skillset
So now we have dota2 but distilled TF2
I don't dislike the idea, moba third person is cool but Smite's company kinda sucks. What I didn't like about the game is how much I feel like I'm playing dota 2 and I really don't like dota 2, my little brain can only comprehend league of legends.

I wouldn’t say no, but I’m not entirely sure on how steam opsec works and wouldn’t want to make it awkwardly
I actually enjoyed Artifact, even made ~10 bux in steam wallet net from selling the included pack pulls on market day 0 and playing pauper exclusively until f2p.
Artifact was fun, it just wasn't fun enough and/or innovative and/or exciting enough to be successful.
Why are there so many of these all of the sudden? Why in 2024?
