I picked this up on steam and I'm having some fun with it. I'm not a super big board game enjoyer, but i like the mechanics and the theme

Yes, the board version of this game is the best board game i ever played and this is quite good for a computer adaptation. It's mortyfying though, AI stomp me effortlessly, especially in challenges. I wonder why i played with dozens of real people and won much more times than lost.

I'm just glad that I have the computer to keep track of all the rules, it made it much easier to learn the fundamentals

True, i did learn at least one neat trick in the first day, but it's useless since it's for base game and the expansions add so much that downgrading is pretty hard. It's a trick to buy swordmaster in 2nd round - Start as Glossu Rabban, get the middle spice field, sell 3 spice, next turn buy swordmaster, though now i think buying council seat first is actually better, this is how the AI is winning with me, they always buy best cards ahead of me, Lady Jessica and Kwisatz Haderach are so OP it's not even fun.

Yeah, I've learned to get on the high council asap to prioritize getting powerful cards in to my deck and then using the bene geserit to trash the weak cards
