Most of the social media reposts of this clip refer to them as either Mexican gangsters or cholos for some reason but they just seem to be Texans to me. Maybe with some Mexican-American heritage but that's practically half the population.

The people who were present called him a Zionist. He had Hebrew tattooed on him and pulled a pistol, I think without details to the contrary I believe the witnesses.

the context is provided by the tweet claiming they were israeli. sure that could be false, but it is believable in the context of very rude, even violent stories we've been seeing about israeli tourists in many countries. an israeli who does not believe in zionism probably isn't the kind to pull guns while on vacation 
Yeah, but at this point we're just doing weird predjudice games. Maybe that's what's bothering me. Like, I'm not saying that the state of israel isn't an issue, but there are careful distinctions to be made.
