"watch me go boat mode now bros. 420 69!"

drives into lake & dies

Fun fact: $42069 was the all-time-high price of Bitcoin for years after a major bubble. Bros literally paid for the meme and didn't even get to keep an NFT.

Frankly, the cybertruck depicted in this cartoon looks better than the ones I've seen IRL

Serves as a visual punchline without having to drop 100k.

yo, I used to think that guy was just a caricature of a zany person that's vulnerable to conspiracy theories and publicly charismatic to that population, but noooo ho ho hooo! I saw a documentary on him and Sandy Hook victim-families. the guy is deranged. something is seriously wrong with the dude, and it's not psychosis. i remember seeing him testify in court and thinking that i wouldn't have believed it if i hadn't seen actual footage. it's as if there was no soul behind those eyes. he's a soulless machine...omg, i get that term now!! lol soulless ...scary 😬

Alex jones and right wing fanatics like him always give me hiccups. I don’t know why, it’s probably some innate response from a sphincter. You get em close and they start going off.

[-] stoly@lemmy.world 4 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

Just so I understand: you thought that Alex jones was fake prior to the documentary?

But yeah, I think your analysis is spot on.

[-] BackOnMyBS@lemmy.autism.place 3 points 10 months ago

I thought he was either (A) truly paranoid and susceptible to right-wing conspiracy theories or (B) a radio host taking advantage of A-people for fame, power, and money. I still think it's B but more extreme. He is much more nefarious and selfish than I had imagined. He enjoys tearing people down. He would rather every single Sandy Hook parent kill themselves as punishment for defending themselves than admit one iota of his grift.

Thatsyhow conservatives operate.

Don't pick on the poor Cybertruck. It was once raw iron ore and rubber and sand. They all had such high hopes and great potential. They could have been playground equipment for happy children, boots to keep feet dry, and drinkwear in which to share libations. It's not their fault an asshole forced them into such an abominable state.

Found a premise but couldn't find a punchline

[-] stoly@lemmy.world 4 points 10 months ago

It’s not meant to be funny. It’s meant to be sad and make you sad.

[-] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago

But I'm not sad. Cybertruck SHOULD lose the kids. Judge made the right call.

[-] Fedizen@lemmy.world 7 points 10 months ago

In the Cars universe, every vehicle is full self driving and there's no people.

[-] thenextguy@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago

Radiators don't have springs.

[-] krelvar@lemmy.world 20 points 10 months ago

You have to ask the counter guy. They're next to the muffler bearings and blinker fluid.

[-] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 8 points 10 months ago

Chemlight batteries, too.

Left handed wrenches.

It’s a weird aisle.

I used to work in auto parts at car dealers. My favorite thing was when a parts driver got to try their hand at working the shop side counter, and the mechanics would haze the shit out of them.

"I need a valve cover gasket for a 93 RX-7. Hurry!"

[-] evidences@lemmy.world 5 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

This is mostly unrelated to what your saying but the rx-7 valve cover gasket made me laugh. It also reminded me, at my first job I got a ride home one time with one of women I worked with and she had a Dodge Stealth, which was pretty bitchin' at the time, so I'm gushing about how this Stealth is way cooler than anything any of our coworkers drivers and she starts telling a story about her first car an FB RX-7 from like 82 I think. I should have married that girl...

[-] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago

I'm sure that punchline is funny to those who know cars. But I know about as much about car mechanics as I about linux.

That is to say I probably would have fallen for the blinker fluid trick, if I hadn't seen it on youtube.

[-] Nougat@fedia.io 1 points 10 months ago

RX-7s have rotary engines.

[-] Malidak@lemmy.world 17 points 10 months ago

Radiator Springs is the name of the city in Pixar movie 'cars'

[-] eestileib@sh.itjust.works 12 points 10 months ago

They do spring leaks though

[-] moody@lemmings.world 3 points 10 months ago
[-] SturgiesYrFase@lemmy.ml 3 points 10 months ago

I prefer autumn leeks personally.
