They must be talking about the cord in the middle of the floor. Somebody could trip. How can people live like that?

[-] rImITywR@lemmy.world 25 points 1 year ago

Nah, the problem is definitely Dark Souls on a projector. The latency must make that a miserable experience.

[-] gvasco@discuss.tchncs.de 21 points 1 year ago

I'm a guy and I wouldn't be able to live like this.

[-] IntergalacticZombie@feddit.uk 53 points 1 year ago

Exactly, too much ambient light. Washes out the projector screen.

[-] simple@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

But you got dark souls on the projector!

[-] Aux@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

That's the problem.

[-] gk99@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

It's Prepare to Die Edition, either 30 FPS or framerate bugs.

[-] TheLobotomist@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

Only depends on the amount of weed and alcohol I would have access to

[-] rem26_art@kbin.social 17 points 1 year ago

i mean you don't need to look at the room at all if you're busy playing Dark Souls

[-] HeyJoe@lemmy.world 15 points 1 year ago

No audio system! Using TV or projector speakers is blasphemy.

[-] yarn@sopuli.xyz 12 points 1 year ago

Plants are your friends if you live like this and want to upgrade your decor without giving it too much thought

[-] worldspawn00@kbin.social 6 points 1 year ago

There's no windows, plants would not be happy there, lol.

[-] Mada0@lemmy.fmhy.ml 3 points 1 year ago

Isn't that a window behind the sofa? In any case plants still won't be happy watching this guy die repeatedly in the game due to latency.

[-] TheLobotomist@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

This guy plants

[-] Rentlar@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

The plants would move out before this person.

[-] dingus@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

But now you have the added task of putting in some basic effort to keep another thing alive. Doesn't work for some of us lol! Maybe fake plants would work better

[-] abbadon420@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago

Nah! You can mcguiver a dripsystem from an old hose quite easily. 2

[-] ivanafterall@kbin.social 9 points 1 year ago

The screen needs to be pulled taut/straighter. And I'd scoot the chairs closer/facing the screen.

[-] seperis@lemmy.world 9 points 1 year ago

Uh, I see a problem; where are the LAN cables? Are they...are they just using wifi?

[-] chatgeepeetee@kbin.social 7 points 1 year ago

wow, someone took the cave part of man cave quite literally.

[-] Squiglet@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Looks clean and cozy to me

[-] OpenStars@kbin.social 4 points 1 year ago

So, are you going to keep us in suspense or what: what's the issue!? :-P

[-] Fedizen@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Open minimalist layouts are popular now

[-] herrwoland@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

I mean... there's no way to improve that anyways

[-] 567PrimeMover@kbin.social 8 points 1 year ago

The guy's got a projector setup he's already living better than me

[-] Whisper06@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 year ago

Why didn’t I think of a projector

[-] CarlsIII@kbin.social 3 points 1 year ago

You have to look at the screen at an angle or else you’ll block the projector

[-] PeterPoopshit@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Look, I'm just happy to have both a mattress AND a shitty pc. If I hadn't have worked so hard in college I wouldn't even be able to afford that.

[-] ShartyWaffles@kbin.social 2 points 1 year ago

No blankets or pillows on the mattress

[-] Entropywins@kbin.social 2 points 1 year ago

I see a perfectly fine blanket on that wall...

[-] FrankLaskey@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Issue is the projector probably introduces a lot of input lag. Gonna be tough to perfectly time those dodge rolls. Otherwise looks pretty good!

[-] Burstar@lemmy.dbzer0.com -1 points 1 year ago

So long as girls continue to bring their knees up on that mattress there isn't an issue imo.
