I was relieved to see there were no bids on the Nazi trash.

I wonder if there's some guy out there that collects little metal cars who really wants to bid, but doesn't want to be the guy who bought the Nazi coin.

Oddly, this also seems like a very weird Nazi token. Hitler's name is misspelled: he never was called "Adolph", ever.

Also, the Nazi swastika is always supposed to be tilted at 45°, also not the case here.

Almost if it's not authentic at all.

Some tool bag probably made it in high school metal shop.

he never was called “Adolph”, ever.

I did not know this. Did they just never use his first name or did he have some kind of preferred nickname?

Maybe this coin is from the same dimension as the Berenstein Bears books!

[-] VindictiveJudge@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago

Oh, yeah, that's a derp for me.

The vast majority were tilted 45° but not all, so that's not necessarily an indication of its inauthenticity. The misspelling is a dead giveaway though.

Example of non-tilted swastika on a flag (1942)

I stand corrected. But I think any "odd" angles such as in this case, where the rotation seems to be somewhat at 20 degrees, would be even more uncommon.

Also by 1943 what english-speaking country would allow for the production of nazi propaganda?

I hate playing Monopoly with my family.
Grandpa always takes the Swastika.

[-] Honytawk@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 month ago

Let me guess, that is normally your piece?

[-] superkret@feddit.org 1 points 1 month ago

I always lose, and the Nazis did fail pretty hard at capitalism, so it fits.

Magnum condoms for my magnum dong

[-] Rhynoplaz@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

Shame they never needed a single one. 🤦🏻‍♂️

[-] Honytawk@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 month ago

Did all of them go in raw?

[-] walden@sub.wetshaving.social 4 points 1 month ago

Expired?

Would make a good gag gift.

[-] Rhynoplaz@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

I think you still have two days if you can find it!

[-] TheTetrapod@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

He meant the condoms, lol

4chan poster starter kit

On the contrary this is so some shit that collects Nazi crap can say he really wanted the little car. Report this to the auction site. If they don't take it down stop using this site.

[-] Rhynoplaz@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

I believe it's their own site, if we disregard whoever hosts the domain for them. They do estate sales, so most of these are ALL of a dead person's belongings.

Not defending it or anything, but I'm not going to raise a fuss about it either.

Very limited-run Monopoly tokens

[-] Rhynoplaz@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

That's what I thought!

[-] RoidingOldMan@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago

That's illegal to sell in a lot of places. Report the listing they should take it down.

[-] Smoogs@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

Probably don’t have to say this but just in case: the condoms are expired. don’t try to use them.

[-] NaoPb@eviltoast.org 3 points 1 month ago

But do the wheels of the car move? Because that is the difference between nice model cars and great model cars.

[-] AsudoxDev@programming.dev 3 points 1 month ago

Someone was selling a "real" nazi flag and a "real" nazi poster in moneromarket

[-] superkret@feddit.org 2 points 1 month ago

Isn't that what Monero is for?

[-] NaoPb@eviltoast.org 1 points 1 month ago

As a historic piece it's nice. But we all know what people are really going to buy it.
