I've had a human co-worker tell me it "looked like i was sweating pure cortisol" once so i don't doubt it.

I love that my cat isn't like this, she'll come right up for anything, lest I keep rolling over and shes tired of hopping on and off the bed so she just sits at the end lol

Not mine. She's a nervous fucking wreck constantly. She jumps and runs at even the slightest motion, even from those of us she's been with most her life.

I don't appreciate her mocking me.

My old cat used to sleep at the end of my bed, always has done. However, I often kick out in my sleep which regularly resulted in my cat being shoved off the end of the bed and down between the wall at which point he would calmly make his way under the bed, hop back up and resume position without so much as a fuss. I tried keeping him out of my room for a while but he would sit and complain for hours until I let him back in. Still don't understand that cat to this day lol

Whenever I'm upset my chihuahua mix lays on my chest like he's protecting me from predators.

When my wife is really upset which is quite often sadly our newest cat will run over to her for attention and beg to be picked up. She has been a great addition to our home and I'm really glad I could save her from the streets.

That's me, except the anxiety is about not wanting the cat to come to me. But somehow that kind of anxiety attracts them.

Theory: animals can sense your allergies.

I've heard they tend to feel more comfortable with you if you ignore them, and people who don't like cats ignore them. Try saying "hi kitty!" and trying to pet them while making eye contact as soon as you meet them and hopefully they'll stay away. Results may vary.

Yeah pretending you're going to reach out to hug them does sometimes work. Gotta make sure I don't actually touch them though.

The dog seems to know when she needs to take me for a walk. She's usually right about that stuff.
