“This is just Dem propaganda, cooked up by the establishment to prevent valid, wholesome, totally ethical and on our side third parties like the Greens from becoming the powerhouse they could be!” - tankies and Russians operatives on this site probably

"Voting doesn't matter"- also the tankies

jill stein is a useful idiot for putin

[-] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 36 points 4 weeks ago

A useful idiot doesn't know they're useful...

Stein 100% knows she's useful to Putin by now.

[-] Coelacanth@feddit.nu 27 points 4 weeks ago

Seeing her refuse to denounce Putin in the Mehdi Hassan interview sure was something.

Disagree. Definition of a useful idiot is this: "suggesting that the person thinks they are fighting for a cause without fully comprehending the consequences of their actions, and who does not realize they are being manipulated"

Jill Stein may be aware that she's been useful to Putin, but that doesn't contradict the above definition and she can still qualify for the "useful idiot" label. The main thing here is that she's not a Russian asset - she's being manipulated perhaps but not under Putin's Russia's direct control.

[-] Soup@lemmy.cafe 11 points 4 weeks ago

Of course she is!

[-] LEDZeppelin@lemmy.world 8 points 4 weeks ago

Always has been

"I don't understand what you means by a vote for third party is a vote for Trump!?" they said while drooling on the floor.

Allies of former President Donald Trump and others affiliated with the GOP are supporting the Green Party's Jill Stein in the hopes that her presidential bid will divert attention and votes away from Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, The Wall Street Journal reported.

I and many others have been saying this for over a year now. Some of us got out posts removed for suggesting it- and the rest was downvoted into oblivion.

Seems they’re all button-lipped and silent on the subject now. Imagine that.

[-] curbstickle@lemmy.dbzer0.com 15 points 4 weeks ago

Well yeah, their employers got shut down a month or two back, right?

[-] cowfodder@lemmy.world 43 points 4 weeks ago

Can't wait for what's-his-name to show up with the worst fucking take you've ever read.

[-] Soup@lemmy.cafe 12 points 4 weeks ago

Everyone here does.

[-] cm0002@lemmy.world 18 points 4 weeks ago

Do you realize how little that narrows it down

[-] Soup@lemmy.cafe 10 points 4 weeks ago

Oh we all know exactly why they’re talking about.

[-] chemical_cutthroat@lemmy.world 13 points 4 weeks ago

Me? That's usually my job, but Jill Stein can jump off a bridge, so I won't be giving any hot takes in this thread.

[-] GBU_28@lemm.ee 18 points 4 weeks ago

No if you were that guy, you'd fuckin know lol

[-] Soggy@lemmy.world 3 points 4 weeks ago

I don't know exactly who you're talking about but there's a bunch of people on my block list so I hope I already got them.

[-] MushuChupacabra@lemmy.world 34 points 4 weeks ago

This is easy to understand when you take into account that Jill Stein is a piece of shit.

[-] themeatbridge@lemmy.world 24 points 4 weeks ago

No but vote for her to send the Democrats a message or something.

Fucking Christ, they're really phoning it in. How is this election even close?

[-] chakan2@lemmy.world 30 points 4 weeks ago

Because over half of Americans are terminally stupid.

[-] xmunk@sh.itjust.works 13 points 4 weeks ago

If you really want to waste your vote on a third party (and it is a waste in our shitty two party system) there are so much better options out there.

But, given the stakes in this election, I'd urge folks to show up and vote for Harris even in solid blue states. The stronger the national vote proportion is the harder it will be for assholes to try and subvert the election.

[-] Rhaedas@fedia.io 12 points 4 weeks ago

Both sides? Wait, that's a third side. So we've gone polyhedral?

[-] dhork@lemmy.world 8 points 4 weeks ago

It's just more triangulating

[-] xmunk@sh.itjust.works 4 points 4 weeks ago

I'm hip so I really hope we get another side - then we can be square together!

[-] drdiddlybadger@pawb.social 9 points 4 weeks ago

I'm shocked I say, shocked and dismayed!

Lmao

[-] Soup@lemmy.cafe 10 points 4 weeks ago

Right? If only some could have been telling everyone about this for the past year!

[-] droopy4096@lemmy.ca 6 points 4 weeks ago
[-] Soup@lemmy.cafe 2 points 3 weeks ago

Yeah, and her supported knew about this shit all along too. Meanwhile they were removing posts and comments that tried to let people know.
