The endorsement I've been waiting for

[-] auzy@lemmy.world 14 points 2 days ago

That's because they're actually normal people.

[-] Letstakealook@lemm.ee 4 points 2 days ago

Scientists getting them pissed...checks out, unfortunately pretty normal in this country.

[-] auzy@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

Same as here unfortunately.

Just had an argument with a "Born Again Christian" who doesn't want Tampons for free in the women's bathrooms, because they should be purchased by parents and were personal care.

When I said it was just like toilet paper, he said "the toilets are unhygenic and they need wrapping" or some nonsense. Apparently plastic sealed tampons aren't ok, but unsealed toilet paper is perfectly fine in public bathrooms. I also found out unsurprisingly, he is a trucker (here in Australia, it seems like the Truck community is causing 90% of the problems)

Are juggalos still considered a terrorist organization?

[-] Theprogressivist@lemmy.world 15 points 2 days ago

Are they still figuring out how magnets work?

[-] sunbrrnslapper@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

What is this magnet thing with juggalos?

[-] f4f4f4f4f4f4f4f4@sopuli.xyz 6 points 2 days ago

A verse from Miracles, implying that magnets are miraculous: Water, fire, air, and earth / Fuckin' magnets, how do they work?

Another, often quoted from the same track: I don't wanna talk to no scientists / Y'all fuckers be lying, and getting me pissed

[-] sunbrrnslapper@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

Mystery solved! Thank you!!

Insane Clown Posse - Miracles:

I see miracles all around me

Stop and look around, it's all astounding

Water, fire, air and dirt

Fucking magnets, how do they work?

And I don't wanna talk to a scientist

Y'all motherfuckers lying, and getting me pissed

[-] sunbrrnslapper@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

Thank you!!

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

That's why I'm surprised they endorsed Harris. Trump doesn't know how they work either. You'd think they would find friendship in their common imbecility.

Stupid people like to be in the room where they're the smartest. Smart people like to be in the room where they're the dumbest.

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

I like to be in the room with people who are a mix so that some of them can teach me things I don't know and I can teach others things they don't know.

Does that make me smart or stupid?

ICP for the win!!! Hopefully that resonates with GenX.

[-] Glowstick@lemmy.world 19 points 2 days ago

I think the ICP fans include at least as many millennials, maybe even more

[-] acosmichippo@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago

I can only think of two times I've seen ICP in pop culture, once with their whole magnets thing, and once on Workaholics which is a heavily millennial show.

[-] Glowstick@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago

Makes sense. Millennial generation starts with people born in 1981, and ICP became big in the late 90s. So millennials were the teenagers when ICP hit big. I doubt many people in their 20's and 30's were jumping on the ICP train.
