Thank you, this was actually inspiring. I’d like to imagine I was making a better world before, and will continue to do so with all my strengths.

For now...
Look, if you can just keep persisting, there's a good chance you will outlive this, and that he won't. I outlived Reagan, although clearly his legacy of evil continues. Stay strong, and look out for those even more vulnerable than yourself.
The last part. We all need to do the last part most of all.
Help others. Combat the cruelty.
You can sacrifice some pride/comfort/identity or go persist in Canada. There are lots of options that don't involve anything tragic. None are great because of the horrors and that your agency over them is limited.
Speak for yourself, I threw the towel years ago and I'm just waiting for it to get worse enough to call it quits forever.
