Why are you on reddit in the first place?

[-] MrJameGumb@lemmy.world 23 points 1 month ago

Sounds about par for the course on Reddit. That's one of the many reasons I don't go on there anymore

[-] Empricorn@feddit.nl 19 points 1 month ago

Why. Are you still there!?

[-] Fiivemacs@lemmy.ca 0 points 1 month ago

Because Facebook posts Reddit links, duh..

[-] SpikesOtherDog@ani.social 12 points 1 month ago

Sounds like Reddit should disable post comment/s.

[-] misterdoctor@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

Might as well just disable the whole site

[-] SpikesOtherDog@ani.social 3 points 1 month ago

Many of us tried. Not exactly loic-level mischief, but it was a concerted effort.

My benefit of the doubt these days is that mods were the first to abandon ship. It's been a while since I checked in, but every community was understaffed or had new people doing everything.

Talking about Reddit on Lemmy is getting really old.

[-] Mickey7@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

I understand their intent which I disagree with.....but always wonder who is actually making the decisions over there. Seem like much more Admins doing post locking and removal vs. the group mods

[-] GBU_28@lemm.ee 0 points 1 month ago

Cry more, you're admitting to still being on Reddit

[-] chicken@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 month ago

I'm still on Reddit too, and I bet a lot of people who came here from there are. Lemmy just isn't a fully viable replacement yet.

[-] GBU_28@lemm.ee 2 points 1 month ago

Sounds fine, valid points. No reason to complain about reddit here though.

[-] chicken@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 month ago

I'm glad to see it at least, though maybe it would also make sense to be posted on !reddit@lemmy.world

[-] GBU_28@lemm.ee 1 points 1 month ago

I would not have made this comment on that com. Different place, different context.
