Accounts of massacres perpetrated by the RSF and allied Arab militias emerged shortly after war broke out in April 2023 between the RSF and the regular army, the Sudanese Armed Forces, and its allied groups. Much of what the outside world has learned about the atrocities has been relayed by survivors from refugee camps in Adré, across the border in Chad.

That's not very nice at all. What's with all the genocide going on around the world these days? Why can't we all just get along?

These days? The world has had such problems for as long as it has existed. People will always have reasons to disagree with one another, and often they will be good reasons. How we deal with things when we disagree is what matters, and recently people have been making very, very bad decisions about how they handle disagreements.

Too many Western countries supporting said genocides. In this case it's France.

Everybody's west of somebody, so it makes it possible to blame the West for everything! I love it!

Arent the RSF mostly support by Russian Militias and the UAE?

Their allies and also largest base of support, the Janjaweed militias, not only murder in Sudan, they are also usee by the Saudis in the Yemeni Civil War.

Most of the countries involved in this civil war are not Western.

Okay I looked it up and apparently it's the UAE is supplying French-made weapons. Still not a good look for France, but admittedly they're not as deeply involved as I thought.

On one hand, this shit really makes me want to disconnect. On the other, shouldn't we all be aware? I don't fucking know, but I hate feeling so impotent.
