Reminds me of a Bakshi film. I wonder if Ralph was inspired by this.
Funny, everyone is reminded of different things and I wonder at the likely connections. It reminds me of Heavy Metal, based on the French art magazine of the same name.
All the artists/mags mentioned (Bakshi, Moebius (Arzach), Heavy Metal) were from the same era and had similar aesthetics. Moebius published in Heavy Metal too.
Reminds me of the 1976 French comic book "ARZACH"
