— Use Signal and Signal’s camera
— The reporter should recreate any image you leak before displaying it to the public

also: don't go to an american journalist, pick one from a country that has strong legal protections and the budget for meaningful legal representation like der speigal in germany.

How about unpersonal devices, since personal devices are uhm you know... usually traceably tied to your person.
