Ubisoft is really paving the way for it's own irrelevance.
They've been giving out their big titles games for free just to beg for attention. They haven't been relevant in a while.
That's what you get for alienating your customers
That's the tragedy. I loved AC games so much. It really hurts to see things fall for Ubisoft so badly. But, they brought it on themselves.
A few were great. A few were ripoffs. To my knowledge the team that originally had the passion to want to make the game great hasn't been at ubisoft for a while
Which part of Apex did they find inspirational?
The money from microtransactions, battlepasses, loot boxes, premium currency, and FOMO.
Yeah I mean why wouldn't they? They can milk the same game for decades.
Tbf, they've been doing that with a reasonable amount of success with Rainbow Six Siege.

All Ubisoft does is copy other peoples homework and change just enough to make it not look identical.
