That was the greatest political reference of All Time.

Transformers used one of the Valkyrie toys as like Starscream or someone early on.

Jetfire, who was named "Skyfire" in the cartoon and given a moderate re-design (and stopped appearing soon after the first season), because the toy design was licensed from Bandai, and Hasbro/Takara didn't want to include what was basically free advertisement for their competitors' design.

Battletech did snag the Valkyrie robots from Macross at some point (though I'm not too knowledgeable about that franchise)

A company called Harmony Gold owns the American broadcast rights to Macross, and has been infamously litigious about defending their IP, despite not using it much. It's a hell of a story, which continues to this day I think.

I thought something was weird when her coffee mug said "Don't talk to me until I've killed Tuvix"

Well THIS certainly looks like it has the potential to destroy my life.

I started playing EQ a few months before the Luclin models were added, so they don't feel "wrong" to me like they seemed to with everyone else. The extra customization was nice, too.

EQ was clunky, imbalanced, broken, inaccessible, and confusing. But you generally needed a solid group to see most of it, so it stressed community more than anything I'd played before or since. I'll always have a soft spot for it.

I like the episode where Mulder and Scully spend the entire hour bitching at each other because the planets are aligned.

I was expecting eight episodes so the fact that it ended took my by surprise. I also thought they'd go into more detail on whatever scientific project they were doing that they felt was worth poisoning an entire town. But maybe modern TV has conditioned me to await answers to every question any viewer would reasonably ask.

I generally like games about teams of iconic characters who hit/shoot things to make numbers come out, and end up killing God. What can the Sega Saturn do for me?

I'd say Parasite Eve but I think that one only goes from December 24th to the 29th or so.

Diablo 2 similarly was a perfect accident by Blizzard. I can go back and play it or the remaster any time and have a good time, even if the remaster has new questionable content

D2 was a balance disaster, but the game itself was perfectly playable with each class. You just couldn't compete on the ladders against the CCB WW babas and the Burritozons and the FW sasas sojsojsojsojsoj.
