So, now the SAF-18?

Doom. The game that solidified a gaming genre and has become a benchmark for computers. 'Can you play doom on it?'

The details of the Boulton Paul Defiant mk1 might be floating around somewhere... And a Catalina too.

Did I fail to mention my previous character had many siblings?

No expert, but I believe the picture is of a wasp.

I don't think so, radar jamming should look more like this.

I think they mean compatibility with old devices like 5-10 year old handheld devices that don't get updates.

There was a period where very early digital cameras (think 1.2 megapixels) could only read up to 4 gigabyte memory cards, so camera stores had a stock of smaller cards for when people came in with 'old faithful' and couldn't get the 8, 16 and 32 gig cards working with it.

I'm not sure companies want to risk a corrupted card killing all of. 2 hour recording where the practice of splitting into 4gig chunks for later reconstruction might mean only the latest 15-29 minutes of a recording is lost if corrupted.

If it was done in Australia, I reckon the 3 mil wouldnt last 24 hours. Possible tools I'd say would be used are :- 1) Ute 2) Bobcat 3) Backhoe & 4) Bulldozer, not necessarily in that order.....

Hmmm. Going after the shape shifter who took the shape of an ex / current partner and romanced her but then swindled her on something like an elopement. But the party doesn't know it yet, so they go after the ex but along the way we realize the real ex is innocent , so the ex joins they party.

Was out on a walk earlier today and wanted to do something sort of Christmas related and try and help people pass on virtual presents in the form of community suggestions.

What is a community you think more people should be subscribed to and why?

My answer is https://lemmy.world/c/superbowl ( Superb Owl, not Superbowl. It's a community about birds, not americal football) and there is frequently high quality images of owls posted which I find cute and I wish I could take shots like that. P.s. I know birds aren't everyone's thing, but I wanted to use it as an example.

And I the community is NSFW but the name isn't obvious, flag it as NSFW.

I was out recently noticed two Tawnys in a tree, i was surpirsed as the last i saw any was around a year ago and it was just one where i’d always seen two together.

These two looked very tired. The one on the left was more awake and i felt like i was being glared at. ‘Dude, I’m watching you, I don’t like you and if you come closer, we might have to move, and we really, really don’t want to do that’.

So i came close enough to get this shot and left them in peace but am keeping an eye out for them the next time in the area.

Mods: Sorry if this doesnt fit the sub, but I think people commonly mistake Tawny's for Owls, and they're the closest animals to owls Im likely to see. The image is Original Content (taken by me). Let me know and i'll post to birding or just pics.

Rookie Numbers. It only uses electrical power generated. Why not cook turkeys in heat destined for cooling towers ? Gotta push those numbers way up.

Have a look at https://lemmy.world/c/newcommunities . I just know it exists and have got looking at it's rules and checking it out more on my to-do list.

Another cockatoo was also eating in another tree. I got the feeling they knew they were being photographed, but one of them screeched an alarm shortly after and the whole group flew off. I saw a flock well over a hundred flying around the suburb later that day.

As I was walking past, i saw the three Sulphur Crested Cockatoos on the street light and I lined up to get a shot of them early in the morning, but i didnt expect the two magpie-larks to photobomb the shot.

Behind the Sydney Opera House is Circular Quay, which is the hub of ferry traffic in the harbour. There's also private vessels, cruise ships, , a floating bar and the occasional military vessel.

There are several classes of ferry in the fleet, including rivercats (on the left) which have a shallow draft as they travel up the river to Paramatta.

The largest class of Sydney Ferry are the Freshwater class which travels to Manly and back near the Sydney Heads which can lead to a bumpy ride if there's a swell.

Sorry for the lower quality image, I took this one on my phone and as the saying goes, the best camera is the one you have with you.

One of the Martian moons travels between the rover and the sun. It's a bit different to my usual posts, and not my OC :).

I believe it's Phobos, so there might be doom music kicking in any second now...

Sydney has many ferries travelling on its harbour to help move people around, some are smaller and have a shallow draft like the Rivercats that travel between Circular Quay and Paramatta and there are several other ferry classes painted in Green and Gold.

Note: Image uploaded at 1921x1080 pixels. In some of my other posts in other communities, some people said the images were small, and it looks like Lemmy creates thumbnails as .webp files and some of these may be shown. I'm using the default theme and have to click on the image to get it to show the full resolution image.
