it only ended because he happened to get caught in the act at an event.

Always. Always. Always.

I'm not huge on holding people legally accountable for the actions of others; but I do think that adults who ignore children telling they're being abused are also guilty on some level of abuse.

My former bully had been creating deepfakes with social media and photos he'd taken at youth events. Probably would have gone on much longer but he tried to catfish them and was caught.

Honestly I'm all for having a party of fiscal responsibility. If only conservatives would step up to the plate and fulfill that role!

Yea seeing the mentality of the 2 commentors who support LBC has me questioning if it's actually activism or just standard attention seeking behaviour.

  1. I said legitimate opponent. Meaning she seems like a good person for the job. Not that she was a serious contender with a chance to win.

  2. She's an independent not an LPC or CPC member so you're comparing apples to oranges.

  3. Name recognition is the single most important factor in being elected. It's factually incorrect to suggest that there would be no difference between a few independent candidates and over 100.

At the end of the day what does LBC stand for if they're undermining legitimate independent candidates?

So I just heard on the radio this morning that youth injures from scooters are up 60% over last year.

If you're saying the automotive industry is stymieing such statistics, than I fully agree. I think that incentive is a stronger argument than my other speculations.

However I do believe scooters need to be regulated more.

  1. Speed limiters. I've seen people going 60kph, passing cars in the bike lane. With no helmet.

  2. Mandatory insurance & licencing. But make it like fishing licenses where its relatively easy/cheap, you're informed of the rules, sign a contract you'll adhere to them, and then if you get caught without it or contravening it you're fined heavily.

  3. Separate mixed use infrastructure. Nothing against bike lanes... but we need to separate cars and non-cars.

Silly take: I don't think anyone deserves the nobel peace prize for anything related to the utter failure, disgrace, and human atrocity that is the western-funded genocide of innocent Palestinians.

I'm sorry but absolutely mother-fuck every country in the world that is complicit in this. Fuck Canada. Fuck the USA. FUCK ISRAEL! Fuck them all.

We don't deserve to award, celebrate, or nominate anything.

That's the truth. Reconcile it.

Hot take. Just send them the link to this thread. If it's meant to be it'll be fine.

It's been an even greater strength for big corporations though. There's a lot of immigration lawyers who own Tim Hortons. Same with education; their entire business model requires extortionate tuition/rent that only foreign students can afford.

We need to name and shame the people profiting off of this mismanagement. Pointing the finger at the government just causes them to deflect aimlessly.

Good. Lot of these companies contribute nothing to society other than GDP and consumerism.

You can replace workers with AI but not customers.

TLDR: Author calls Carney a nightmare boss than proceeds to neurotically nitpick him like the worst micromanager in the multiverse. Literally no connection between their vapid observations and the baseless claims they allege.

The comments they made here are a clear indication of the lack of objectivity and frame of reference behind their writing. But it is an opinion and entitled to be so. It's just not a very good opinion.
