Ohhh I miss St Mark’s! It’s such a great area to go shopping and eating. I haven’t been there in over a decade, but I remember having a great time at a punk fashion shop.

Not eating red meat is so fucking easy now. If I can be an old man who went to school uphill in the snow both ways for a second, I dropped meat 20ish years ago in the US deep south, and holy fuck talk about an impossible diet. Even the vegetables had meat in them, and that is not a joke.
This is obviously going to depend on your area and how much of a food desert you’re in, but I’ve never seen so much access to so many kinds of meat replacements in average grocery stores and not just bougie upscale places. Tofu, tempeh, fake meat everything! Which isn’t even a big part of my diet, but I love having the option when I want something new.
If it was just a cost thing I wouldn’t necessarily mind, but it hasn’t been established that natural dyes are always safer than artificial ones. Sometimes taking a lot of a natural thing and concentrating it also concentrates what would otherwise be a low level contaminant that wasn’t concerning, because you’d never consume enough of the non-concentrated thing for it to matter.
Removing artificial coloring doesn’t mean they’ll no longer be dyeing food, it means they’ll be using bugs (cochineal) and algae to do it, along with other natural dyes.

Not in my experience, but 500 mg/piece (!) is at least 10x what I would consider taking if I wanted it to be an enjoyable experience, and honestly 50 mg would be pushing it. 5-20 mg is a typical dose.
All very YMMV, people have different metabolisms and tolerances, blah blah.

I’m with you, I’d be on the ground in a puddle for the next 12 hours. But in a really uncomfortable way, where the air conditioner is musical and you can’t tune it out.

If they’re high quality editors who consistently put out a lot of edits then yeah, it is meaningful and insightful. Wikipedia exists because of them and only them. If most feel like they do and stop doing all this maintenance for free, then Wikipedia becomes a graffiti wall/ad space and not an encyclopedia.
