They're claiming Russia is losing 1,200 soldiers a day. They're delusional.

I love this game. I did well on my first playthrough, but of course I managed to get the two characters I wanted to save most killed :(

I've been noticing the articles are saying he was a chaotic mess, a hindrance to the war in Ukraine, and acted like he was the personal representative of all American volunteers there. Not sure if any of that is true or if they're just trying to distance themselves from him, but I could see it being true.

Doesn't change the fact he's a pro-Ukrainian who tried to assassinate Trump, and failed miserably. Kind of makes me wonder if the first assassin was also pro-Ukraine.

It's been wild to me how Ukrainian military and government officials have just blatantly said the quiet part out loud, then tried to pretend they never did when it turned out the majority of people didn't like it. This, and the fact they were pumping out psychotic lies as fast as newspapers could print them (which were all exposed as lies within a week)... I'm just surprised anybody gives them legitimacy or benefit of the doubt anymore.

Perfect example: remember when soldiers were boasting about putting lard on bullets to kill Chechnyans because they were Muslim? And they had to be told by Western supporters that statements like that would hurt their image? Baffling how anyone could think that state is even halfway decent under its current regime.

My only counter is that Trump and his supporters already believe Biden and Dems are in a cabal with communists. If it was some anarchist, he'd still blame Biden as equally; if it were a Dem, he'd blame communists as equally. To Trump and his cronies, it's all the same. No matter who wins, or who fired those shots, they'll squeeze harder on us.

I'd also add that his followers absolutely would not stop following him if it turned out he lied here. He could spit in their faces and they would applaud. He has nothing to lose from doing a stunt like this, in fact they might find it endearing.

Helldivers II, Deep Rock Galactic, Dead Space remake, Mount & Blade: Bannerlord 2, Chivalry 2.

I like FPS, RTS, and the like. Not exclusively shooters, but swords and sorcery.

I haven't completed the remaster, but I've played Dead Space before. I didn't find the original scary (I played it after being spoiled by better graphics), but the remaster is definitely making me appreciate the original's horror.

People always talk like a civil war is inevitable here because of our "political divide", but it's not. The reactionary elements of the US have all the power that matters here. Even when elements try to make good on their progressive platforms they used to win elections, they show a total inability to meaningfully enforce things. The institutions meant to enforce laws are corrupt and conservative as hell. Pass an unconstitutional law to beat up pro-Gaza supporters, they'll enforce it in a heartbeat; pass a constitutional law to demilitarize the border and they'll let state NGs do whatever they want.

The only war that I ever see happening here is if enough rabid reactionaries slip the leash, believe their own hype, and try to take down their paymasters. A Night of the Long Knives, and it'll end the same way: with the rabid dogs put down by their corporate masters.

It's only an admission if their audience understands that. Libs don't know or care to know that the replacement will use Soviet doctrine instead of NATO doctrine. At best, it'll be spun as a "Syrsky knows how the enemy thinks" type of angle. People who aren't drowning in the propaganda and copium can see who's winning the war and whose doctrine is working just fine. The types of people who need convincing are so deluded they won't be able to see the change as an admission; they'll see it as proof of Ukraine's genius adaptability or some such nonsense.

Comrade from the US here. Not familiar with Sikkim and was curious what everyone's stance is about it. I got a garland of country flags for my geography class and had to look up the Sikkim flag, which is right next to a flag of Kosovo, and it really has me furrowing my brow.

I wouldn't be surprised if they're just waiting for one of the myriad left-leaning orgs to do something like January 6th to justify an anti-communist purge and takeover. Doesn't even have to be actual socialists. It just has to be enough for the media to spin into a justification. I can see it now: every socialist or socdem org being outlawed, any liberal who doesn't become an ardent anti-communist getting arrested for questioning, etc. Finishing what McCarthy started.

After all, all those handy "anti-insurrection" laws didn't come into effect until after the right tried their embarrassing coup. And all of those laws happen to be applicable to any leftist org "trying to overthrow the government". I could see some extremely agitated Antifa action escalating via interference and the media just making it out to be a fullblown takeover. I know people working for the government who swear up and down that Antifa is a highly organized, evil, foreign communist threat because other friends in the government tell them so. It really wouldn't take much convincing.

True, but I'm thinking about the grassroots fascist orgs that coordinate online, that got involved in this whole project. I've talked to fascists before, and there is a breed of them that really would burn a whole country down to incite fascist sympathy across Europe. If the US gave them power, knowingly or unknowingly, in Ukraine, then I think there's more at work than just the ghouls in leadership.
