Needed to hear these words, very applicable to my current environment. Cheers :)

Yes they've always been a thing in the promotions/else tabs, anyone who says they aren't around simply hasn't clicked those tabs or registered they existed (in fairness, everything in that tab is generally an ad)

Brie. I never buy it on my own free will, but I am an absolute goblin when I see it at a party

People be lazy and just want to eat "something", even if it sucks

I'm sure some people will swap, but nah no way it's a meaningful loss

Ad blockers will still exist too, they just won't be as effective. If the layman installs an ad blocker and gets one less ad, they won't question it further

Haha holy shit, the Canada Computers statement that photos weren't accessed inappropriately & that the employee in question was disciplined, shortly followed by a picture of the technician outright copying only these files to the USB drive. These people are scum

Yeah like original post is bullshit but this isn't at all a foreign thing to say

Amen on free form multi window being a necessity - I can't say I've ever triple tasked, but I absolutely have had floating windows for quick reference (like infographics/calculator/etc)

Force full screen is a must have - the Pixel Folds currently inability to do this makes it a nonstarter for me

DeX is awesome when I need it. I could live without it, but it's really nice to use in a pinch

Hell yeah. Special shout-out to Sync for Lemmy for reeling me back in as a daily user.

Aside from the polish, it's also the familiar UX that many of us have used for a decade. It just feels familiar & right now!

The whole pricing debate is so exhausting. Anybody who feels $20 is too steep for an app they might use for the next decade is welcome to their opinion, but they'll never have the same perspective as those of us who enjoyed a decade of improvements to Sync for Reddit. LJ is a class act, Sync is leagues ahead of all other 3PAs, and I'm happy to pay my share.

There are so many FOSS & alternative options. LJ is dedicating his full attention to a niche platform and has set up a subscription model that allows this project to remain sustainable for him & his team (yes, team). Feel free to go with any other option, but let's not pretend that Sync is the antichrist for being the first Lemmy 3PA developer that is prioritizing sustainability after a decade of supporting users who paid $2

Absolutely floored at how active this instance & community is. It's like I never left Reddit.

Cheers!!

I tried looking around for info on a steam deck case that was horizontally compatible with the LTT backpack and couldn't find any pictures/guarantees online. If anyone is unfamiliar, they designed the backpack to fit the steam deck during its design phase, but they didn't account for the carrying case (it wasn't publicly revealed at the time). Since I got the backpack, i've had to throw my steam deck case in vertically, which took up a ton of room

I went ahead and snagged a Tomtoc case since its the slimmest carrying case I could find on Amazon, and sure enough, it fits like a charm!

Title! Sync has been my daily driver for over a decade now, and i've gotten far more than my money worth out of Pro & Dev. With the news of Sync for Lemmy, I've joined the Sync Lifetime club (long overdue tbh)

If you've gotten similar mileage & want to thank LJ for everything he's done (and has committed to keep doing), lets make sure to thank him both publically and financially :)
