It was easy. China is in the title and a lot of our new visitors seem to be allergic to that.
As a kid I visited Spain on holidays. Usually at the warm and dry coastal areas. It was rocky, sandy and there was not that much vegetation. When I returned home to The Netherlands I was always happy to see our green grass and dense, green woods after spending two weeks in the hot sun. Not that I think NL is superior, it was just nice to see the change between countries as a kid.
Nowadays, The Netherlands and Belgium have become beige colored countries. The grass is always dry, waterways are empty or low and there seems to be an increase in wildfires. And we're having a drought year after year. And it's not even that bad compared to lots of other countries.
How anyone can still deny climate change when the effects are this visible is beyond me.
Hey, but Shell made 36 billion in profit last year
Fair enough 👍 have a gday mate
Re-read the article. It's about accepting a bill that would indirectly prevent the strike from happening if I understand correctly.
Why exactly can they vote to prevent strikes? The whole point of a strike is to fuck over everyone in order to upset the business. You don't need permission to do that.
Also, holy shit at the paid sick days. That's bleak.
Oh shit, honey, it's happening. I'm gonna... I'm.... uhhh.. I'M GONNA VOTE I'M VOOOOOOTING AHHH
Just went to the local Vigil for Palestine but apparently the org canceled it just before the start, because the city didn't want to give a permit. Still like 150 people showed up to lay flowers and burn candles. Police being the fascist fucks they are started intimidating people mourning a massacre.
