There are those that build entirely by hand; but the more common method is to use tools/mods like MCEdit to copy+paste whole sections of blocks. Then you can just build out one of each logic gate/larger section and copy+paste it all together into the full creation bit by bit.

While this seems like a great plan; I wouldn't put it past manufacturers to throw an error message and disable the vehicle for 'safety' when it detects a missing network connection for an extended period and/or disabled hardware during self-test.

Sure, many keyboards have a usb port that you can use. People tend to prefer leaving those ports open for temporary devices though (like a thumb drive) and instead plug the keyboard+mouse into the harder to reach ports on the back of the computer as they likely won't need to move those often.

I love the built in http server for remote control. It's literally a clone of the desktop window with all the same controls/options.
Seems like the kinda thing that comes down to "because it hasn't been explicitly told not to yet". It's a computer grabbing from an ever changing pool of instances based on parameters, not a person hand picking what they like. Computers aren't usually aware of social ques or laws...
