Optical discs are extremely cheap, I wouldn't be surprised if it's cheaper than a 128MB chip of storage.
Eternal is so intense, 2016 feels slow and boring and simple in comparison. I prefer depth over simplicity. IDK about Dark Ages though, it looks slower with less mobility/verticality
I think the original games could really benefit from being widescreen (more field of view), and difficulty settings (increased health and breath), and probably analog controls could help too
I‘m thinking about subscribing to topics and it shows you a good mix of communities where overlapping threads are kind of stacked or something and you could swipe cards to see comments from different communities about it or something.
This sounds like PieFed
Seems to be a locally run AI model that generates the mask
Looks cool, the main villain looks like someone from Hellraiser lol. I'm a bit worried this game is gonna feel slow and immobile compared to Eternal.
yea this is weird actually, even this post is on lemmy.ml

seems like a bug to me
edit: nvm, this post is being "boosted" by lemmy.world, but comments and upvotes from lemmy.ml will be blocked by infosec, because this is a one-way block not mutual
does The 7th Guest count as forgotten? lol !stauf_mansion@lemmy.mods4ever.com
a horror FMV puzzle game, the local theater actors really hammed it up, the soundtrack slaps, and the atmosphere is great
also Tyrian, which is freeware now https://www.gog.com/en/game/tyrian_2000 Not very forgotten either, but at least I'm not saying Doom!
make sure to try the DESTRUCT cheat code https://tyrian.fandom.com/wiki/Cheats#Secret_Gameplay_Modes
In your settings on the website there's a checkbox for "Show read posts", uncheck that. Some apps have the same feature or similar. Some apps also have an option to mark as read when you scroll past a post without opening it.
it depends if your Lemmy instance is configured to copy and host images, or proxy images (in which case they won't get your IP but they'll know when you look), or neither (they get your IP if they're running their own instance or self-hosting the image itself)
I just sent myself a PM to test:
programming.dev shows the image as hosted from retrolemmy.com
it might also be currently bugged: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/5538
There's a few in The 11th Hour that I think might qualify lol
