The content/users aren't here so I'm stubbornly trying to post content and comment whenever I can.

Even if I shout into the void, or get a few upvotes and little other engagement.

Although I understand it's not for everyone, I encourage you to help out with that ;-;

Personally found the background music very distracting, I suggest muting the video.

Finally, my plight of looking for "jumping bunnies" "hopping bunnies" "jumping bunny" and other permutations of that phrase on YouTube and only turning up with this one great video which I've seen a million times, children's songs, and videos that contain bunnies but very few/no hops is done. My search has turned up a video of bunnies hopping that isn't the one I've already seen a million times.

Happy with my current instance, but the urge to try out PieFed grows… would probably mean abandoning Mbin though and Mbin is already so tiny compared to Lemmy…

In your defense, "Segway" is a real brand of some kind of transport thingy, which might be where you picked it up.

I probably should not have been laughing when the bunnies fought and the person put an object between them to stop it and started massaging the two against each other. I blame the background music.

Delighted to see another Mbin magazine for once. It is the Fediverse, and lately it's been feeling like the Lemmyverse. Hope this gets users.

Otome Games (kbin.run)
submitted 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) by Elevator7009@kbin.run to c/newcommunities@lemmy.world

Otome games are video games targeted towards women, where a female protagonist can romance male love interests as a major part of the game.

Why you might recognize this communityI've been posting over at !otomegames@kbin.social (at kbin.social), even advertising it here, until someone pointed out they couldn't see any posts unless they went to https://kbin.run/m/otomegames@kbin.social. I checked and kbin.social has been down for a long while. I deleted the advertisement, made a community on kbin.run (which has been steadily running ever since I joined it about a year ago, and others have let me know they can see my posts), and now here I am advertising the kbin.run version!

!otomegames@kbin.run

Alternate link. For any other Kbin/Mbin users browsing that want to advertise a community, the link I used here is /c/otomegames@kbin.run, not /m/otomegames@kbin.run.

This is why I feel so so lucky to be a small-breasted woman who does not live somewhere hot 24/7.

If I ever do put on a bra it is because I expect I'll be running (only situation I have been in where breasts hurt braless, very thankful), or because the silhouette of my nipples is visible through my clothes and I don't want it to be. A good deal of my wardrobe won't show nipple even if I go braless, but not all of it is like that and so I put on a bra.

Not sure why you are being downvoted. This is one of the few hilariouschaos communities that seem less like a recipe for… well… chaos and unpleasantry, and more like a place to collect people with an interest in things that are not purely chaos.

Community name is a reference to this comic.

As far as I can tell (not a mod there), it seems to be different from this community by intending to be for only pictures of real bunnies, and not just anything bunny-related? And even if I am wrong, well, great to have two bunny communities on different instances in case something ever happens to one of the instances. lemmy.world is big and we want to decentralize on the Fediverse instead of having everything on one big main instance. I am subscribed to both now!

I am so pleased that @bunnies (!bunnies for Lemmy users) welcomes wild bunnies too. If I recall correctly, you could occasionally find a post about them on r/bunnies and r/rabbits but both were intended purely as communities for pet bunnies. Wild bunnies are cute too ;-;

Was free on Epic awhile back, check to make sure you didn't get it there already

[-] Elevator7009@kbin.run 29 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

I always appreciate the Epic posts. I know it is a known weekly thing, I also tend to forget with all the other things going on in my life to actually go claim the weekly free game. Your posts remind me to do that.

The final aesthetic is called submission, though I prefer the term that the Extra Credits’ team use: abnegation. It just sounds cooler and more complicated. Submission is the pleasure you get from turning off your brain and losing yourself in a task you don’t have to think too hard about. Grinding levels in World of Warcraft. Mining minerals in Minecraft. Farming item drops in Diablo III.

Now, submission is an odd one to discuss in tabletop RPGs because it is one that tabletop RPGs doesn’t handle so well. The thing is, even the simplest tasks in an RPG require a high cognitive load. You have to think things through. But still, the concept of “beer and pretzels” play exists for a reason. Go down into a dungeon, kick down doors, kill orcs, take their loot, go back to town. Lather, rinse, repeat. That is submission or abnegation.

And there are people who want exactly that. They look like challenge seekers sometimes, but they don’t want to work too hard or think too hard. They just want to goof around and enjoy a simple game with clear, straightforward goals.

Being charitable, no deadline + they chose to write this for fun so it's a passion project as opposed to an "ugh another thing I have to do for work I guess" project.

There was an r/hobbydrama post on her awhile back that I copied to lemmy.world.
