I just put together an FPGBC. It's pretty great and way cheaper than an Analogue Pocket. This video does a pretty good job of the build process and and an overview of the features.

I've not read 'B' is for Burger personally, but The Shining is one of the best novels I've ever read. I always used to think that Stephen King must have fundamentally misunderstood something to dislike the film as much as he does, or that it was simply a matter of the book always being better than the movie, but after reading it, I no longer have any confusion as to why he feels the way he does. I still love the movie, Kubrick was an artist, but it pales in comparison. I can't recommend it enough.

OW2 PvE was 100% originally going to be free, then they cancelled it outright and only brought it back when the community spoke up about it, but now for a price. But yeah, as far as I'm aware CS:GO is still available so unlike OW2, you don't like the new one, you don't have to play it, you still habe options. Another commenter posted the how to if that's something you're interested in.
edit: also as far as I'm aware, Dota 2's engine update was just a graphical update, they didn't change anything fundamental to the game. As I said before the difference between CS:GO or CS2 is night and day, they changed a lot.
Edit 2: also I think it's a little disingenuous to imply that the quality of a game mode that people now have to pay for doesn't matter
It's because the big studios don't want to take a risk on something new and original, they almost always want to go for the "safe" bet and pick a sequel, spinoff or remake of an established IP that they know will make money. All they care about is profit. Making flims as an art form is is a struggle for passionate directors. Take Guillermo del Toro for example, he said recently (and I'm paraphrasing) that he still gets a lot of push back from studios when he's trying to get his projects of the ground. That's because he's an artist and art is a risk.
