I don't think an LLM would make this mistake, might just be regular autocorrect

or the proof reader was from qld

The hackers exploited CVE-2023-20198 to retrieve running configuration files from the devices and modified at least one of the files to create a GRE tunnel allowing traffic collection from the network the devices were connected to.

tbf they've been patched for ages and/or you can just turn the http web interface off, it's 2 lines of config that takes 30 seconds to apply

We were alerted on the day and had a fix rolled out by end of day on hundreds of routers, this is a bit embarrassing for the canadian telcom tbh

For everyone else you want to wait until all retailers have announced their price increases

From 1 July 2025, prices will rise across the 3 areas. Residential consumers will see increases ranging from 0.5% to 9.7% depending on their usage and location. The price rises for small businesses will range from 0.8% to 8.5%, depending on the same factors.

https://www.energy.gov.au/news/australian-energy-regulator-releases-new-default-electricity-prices

So very likely most/all electricity retailers will pass this on, some just earlier than others

tbh his use of AI is just plain weird, this is more a job of quoting/invoicing software which would already automate and speed up a lot of this stuff

but at the same time it just depends, can getting the response time from 5 hours down to 1 earn them more than taking longer but being more accurate, or even modifying the template so that it doesn't modify line items and values just the writing around the items

Looks like it is comparable to the US Stargate announcement, the money is coming from private companies and going into private investment, which is amazing, I wish France24 had been a bit more specific:

Meanwhile, the French financing will include commitments from the United Arab Emirates, American and Canadian investments funds and French companies like telecommunications firms Iliad and Orange, and aerospace and defense group Thales

A few days before France’s AI Action Summit, which kicked off on Monday, the UAE said it would invest between 30 billion euros and 50 billion euros in the construction of a one-gigawatt AI data center in France as part of a campus focused on the technology’s development.

European companies investing in Europe AND into leading edge technologies? Crazy
