No problem. Its hard to believe that people like this can hold office, and not get removed. But, freedum.

The current governor, Ron Desantis (if your familiar with him, it may explain a lot) has hit his term limit and cannot be reelected, but he won by a landslide last time, although, his opponent was considered to just be a poor candidate.

Well see how Floridians feel about it in 2026, I guess. Theres not much that can done now.

Joseph Ladapo was handpicked by the governer during covid. The governor was fully aware of his views, and was chosen on purpose.

His policys from ending school quarantines to sending kids to school with measles, have been widely publicized. He even has been caught altering covid vaccine data to fit his narrative. The CDC even rebuked him in a letter .

Despite being found altering data, he was confirmed for a second term.

Idk theres a car dealership that has a 2 level version of this. The middle part is raised and spins with the base. Its not as wide as the old ones, but it seems just as dangerous.

Then theres the single person versions that works off of like angled centrifugal force? Idk. It spins and spins just from body weight. They can start it on their own, but I've had random kids ask me to help them stop, cause they couldn't do it themselves. I see variations of these in most newer playgrounds. Some have you sitting, some standing. Many parents still dont give a shit.

Racist people have been repeating this story long before trump ever took office. My father, decades ago, was always telling me this is why the family dogs would dissapear. Apparently, once a year, some gang (of non haitians) would come to our rural area, and steal the neighborhood pets.

Of course, our dogs would get hit by cars or shot, but it would happen to coincide with less barking of neighboring dogs (nah, it wasnt cause our wandering dog wasnt bothering them anymore /s) or another neighbor complaining their dog was missing, too.

I always thought it was the most ridiculous thing I ever heard, much less how the logistics worked out, but the story has been around for a very long time, even if some of the details have changed. These jerks have just co-opted another racist troupe to try to pander to their base.

This is how they plan on filling all the gaps left by all the immigrants they want to deport. Next up are new laws that put even more people / groups of people, in prison.

Reminds me of the county in Florida that sends police to your door daily if they dont like you, or your family.

At this point, I'm almost convinced they purposefully gave him the chance to take his shot.

It's almost as if ignoring a problem, doesn't make it go away.

Im talking worst case scenario, something like Station 11 or the movie Contagion

If the bird flu started spreading rapidly from human to human, and it devastated our population as it can in birds or marine life, how long would one have to hole up in seclusion before the virus burned through the population and it would probably be safe to come out.

Obviously, this is not the current situation, and this scenario is a long way from becoming any type of reality. This is just a hypothetical. If turds hit the fan, I dont want to waste time trying to figure this out in the moment while everyone's ill, and can't answer.

Move over B's, I want first dibs on the tp!

Edit: I'm not thinking of a flu, as it behaves in the human population as we know it. I'm talking like zombie virus, without the worry of reanimation. Like, pretty much, everyone that catches it, dies, and it spreads fast and stealthily enough that the end result is a drastically lower population of survivors. How long would a person have to stay isolated to outlive the worst of it.
