The silence to this question is deafening.
Are you boycotting the Switch2?
So many Switch games are ports, remakes, bland musou games, and content-sparse.
Fuckin' look at this list: https://www.lucklessheaven.com/nintendo-switch/games-us
If we subtract the ports and remakes:
2017, probably their best year
1-2 Switch (awful)
Breath Of The Wild (I say it's technically not a port)
Arms
Super Mario Odyssey
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
2018
Kirby Star Allies (OK, I guess...)
Mario Tennis Aces (a borderline port)
Super Mario Party
Pokemon: Let's Go Eevee/Pikachu (quasi-remake of Red/Green)
2019
Yoshi's Crafted World
Super Mario Maker 2 (again, basically a port)
Fire Emblem: 3 Houses
Ring Fit Adventure
Luigi's Mansion 3
Pokemon Sword/Shield
2020
Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Clubhouse Games
Paper Mario: Origami King
Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity (probably the only muso collab I don't totally loathe)
2021
the Bowser's Fury part of the Super Mario 3D World port
New Pokemon Snap
Game Builder Garage
Mario Golf: Super Rush (has no content)
WarioWare: Get It Together
Metroid Dread
2022
Pokemon Legends: Arceus
Kirby & The Forgotten Land
Nintendo Switch Sports (just barely edges into being not a port)
Mario Strikers (again, barely any content)
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes
Xenoblade 3
Splatoon 3 (should have been a single-player expansion to 2)
Pokemon Scarlet/Violet
2023
Fire Emblem Engage
Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (again, should have been an expansion to the previous game)
Everybody 1-2-Switch! (stupid)
Pikmin 4
Super Mario Wonder
Detective Pikachu Returns
WarioWare: Move It!
2024
Princess Peach Showtime!
Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom
Super Mario Party Jamboree
Mario & Luigi: Brothership
Emi: The Smiling Man - Famicom...
2025
Metroid Prime 4?
Pokemon Z-A Legends?
And only a few of those are new games or even do anything new inside a long series of sequels.
I read online that the other speedrunner dude that he sued, Apollo Legend, was a Nazi too. Just crazy how shitty the speedrun meta-YouTubers are. Especially in contrast to how good GDQ is with masking, anti-ableism, etc.
The bigger OLED model for Switch 1 at 7" has a PPI of 200, which is higher than most TVs and gaming monitors. The Steam Deck only has an 800p-tall screen. The lack of clarity people saw on Switch is mostly likely the game not hitting the screen's native resolution in the first place. The 120hz kicks ass, but a 1080p screen is a total waste on Switch2.
Also reading the Haruhi Suzumiya manga because I don't think I've ever read it before? I've read the books and watched all the anime but never the manga I don't think. I like it. The art is kinda' bad for the first 3-5 volumes but everything after looks pretty good. Wish the anime covered more of the story.
I want shorter playtimes from fewer games released farther apart and no I'm not kidding.
No Such Thing and Trust by Hal Hartley. Hot Fuzz.
Yeah, reading the context does make it seem like he's snidely paraphrasing the first guy's comment on him.
