Federal minimum wage is $1160 a month before taxes (assuming 40 hours a week, which is also pretty unlikely for minimum wage jobs).
I know this is San Fran, and CA minimum wage is bumping up to $16/hr in January, so it’s really only 35% of your gross income for worse accommodations than a college dorm.

I’ve been seeing the opposite, at least in my circles.
On Saturday and Sunday, I really only saw support for Israel and a condemnation of Hamas except for on this website.
The combination of Israel resuming bombing Gaza, the report that Netanyahu had warning this was coming, and the blockade seemed to have reminded people of the need for Palestinian liberation.
Even the most pro-Israel people I know (in person) are lamenting that innocent Palestinians, especially children, are going to bear the brunt of the response and feel that Netanyahu provoked this.
