Despite having an iPad Pro I would say my S23U is more advanced than my iPadOS. My S23U has better external monitor support for one, and file system makes it much closer to actually feeling like a computer over my tablet. Then there's not needing to use stuff like the Alt store to side load. And apps like syncthing make iOS/iPadOS limitations so apparent with how files sync seamlessly across my Linux, Mac, Windows, and Android devices while my iPadOS is the black sheep in that department with the limited file access when trying out syncthing equivalent apps.

Apple is a very restrictive mobile that just doesn't have great compatibility for anything that isn't Apple. That it doesn't let it be advanced despite the powerful chip becomes really apparent if you try to do anything more than try and use it outside Apple devices, use external monitors, or even want to split screen when it comes to iOS.

One thing it has going for it though is long term updates, but my iPad is pretty an expensive glorified comic book reader most of the time now. I found myself wishing iPadOS had the equivalent of edge panels and one hand operations+ so I could just navigate more easily without having to do full hand gestures.

I hate that Google doesn't even alert you through email if they delist an app you paid for and also remove it from being installable.

Yeah, and being able to see who downvotes you will hopefully lead to people being encouraged to actually leave a comment if they disagree instead of just downvoting everything they disagree with they see. People still are not aware that downvoting is public, so still fall into old habits of using downvote as a I disagree or I don't like you option.

I'd rather have that. Why is responsibility of covering wages shifting to the customer? And in return the blame? Sounds like a situation those in charge love, since instead of them being the bad guy they get to say "what an asshole customer right?" it's their fault your take home pay is lower today.

Hiding behind the customer going darn then it's out of my hands. Don't got money to spare. Then they hop in their expensive car and drive to their expensive home instead of them being the ones to pay a proper wage for their employees.

Sounds like a misleading system all around.

And here's the direct link from Ubisoft themselves.

It seems right up my ally to me like with Kena, but that game was 20 compared to 60.

I wait for deals and keep track of prices through price tracking sites. I might decide I want more ssd or nvme storage, and then I'll wait. Then price starts to turn like it is now and suddenly I can get more TBs for the same amount of money.

Same for phones. I'll decide I want to upgrade then wait for deals to pop up that hits my price range. Same for GPU. Same for TV. Same for games.

I don't make impulse purchasing decisions. I make a decision then wait for the market to start shifting to a price I feel like paying. Sometimes I wait a year sometimes longer. I don't feel like I intentionally go for a furgal low end or mid range option, since for me some things are worth paying more for. But, I avoid paying retail.

I hope moving communities and accounts from different instances becomes possible. I would like to see communities start moving away congregating on the largest instance, and instead maybe start joining instances based on topic. So all music related instances whether it be specific genres or bands go to a music instance. And tv show ones go to an entertainment instance. So everything just kind of becomes categorized into something easier follow and find when it comes to looking for new communities.

Hate that you have to even go through the process of removing meta services. Wish it wasn't there.

But, love the OS which is more feature rich than the custom roms of the past I used to use when combined with Good Lock. Love one hand operation+ which lets me not have to bother with gestures anymore and almost everything being available with the side gestures and edge panel. And I don't want to go without a stylus again on a phone, since I use it a lot to do write quick notes without unlocking the phone or selecting text or using it in DS games.

I guess I need to add some other details. I meant a hardware mp3/flac device. Like old school ipods.

Beautiful thing to see. I hope it leads to Japanese Steam users starting to get more demanding of the quality of ports.

Spread out communities makes it easier to avoid a single admin deciding to go crazy. Like imagine if Reddit had been composed of different instances, so people were able to just pack up and leave the instance he was on and not lose all their communities by quitting the Spez reddit instance. So you make a good point. Maybe over time there will be topic based instances popping up like an instance for entertainment, and an instance for games. Which would be pretty cool over a swiss army knife do everything approach instance where everyone starts migrating communities too because it has the largest user base.
