What’s your explanation for this turn of events? Are Kurds treated/represented better under any government? Are legal pathways more rational than armed struggle, will electoral politics free the Kurdish people? I’d say no!
I disagree with most of what they say, including this post, I just haven’t read enough history to argue against it. I was hoping the “engagement” would produce some clarity.
Trump only does anything to look strong/good. It’s how he gave up on bombing Yemen, and it’s how the Palestinians in Gaza may get a hint of breathing room.
“ Hamas spokesman Jihad Taha to Al Jazeera:
– "The release of soldier Edan Alexander is aimed at stopping the aggression on Gaza, allowing aid in, and launching negotiations for a comprehensive deal."
– "We expect a US announcement soon regarding the start of comprehensive negotiations that will lead to an end to the war."
– "Details of Alexander’s release will be announced in the coming days by the negotiating team."
– "We call on the US to pressure Israel and ensure it abides by what was agreed upon with Hamas." “

Khaleel Nasrallah writes:
“As is clear, the channel the Americans previously opened with Hamas was not just a “passing episode”—today it culminated in an agreement. On the surface, it may appear limited, but in reality, it marks a significant turning point.
The Americans will use this agreement during Trump’s visit, but it cannot be leveraged unless it is implemented—meaning “Tel Aviv” will now move according to what Washington dictates.
Netanyahu now appears as merely the executor of an agreement brokered between Washington and Hamas. If he says no, it will be a disaster for him. The agreement will harm him domestically—and we will see the effects soon.
The agreement announced by Hamas, which it concluded directly with Washington and which stipulates the entry of aid, the opening of crossings, and the beginning of negotiations, constitutes a blow to the “starvation policy” pursued by Netanyahu and his team.”
“The Weapons of Al-Aqsa Flood (2024)
A field tour and report conducted by journalist Tamer Lubbad that documents the most prominent weapons used by the Al-Qassam Brigades and the Palestinian resistance in confronting the IOF's invasion over the course of the Al-Aqsa Flood Battle.”

Loving the trend of Trump bypassing Israel, first with Hamas, then Yemen, now Hamas again. Based precedent
Dessalines vs XHS, a meeting of the minds
No one could ever impersonate you, that’s an XHS post if I’ve ever seen one. Hope you’re wrong, unable to prove it
Al-Quds Brigade dropped a highlight reel
“ Al-Quds Brigade Releases "Martyrs' Commandments" Video
"Preparation and Readiness: Prerequisites for Victory"
• New military media production features tactical teachings • Highlights strategic wisdom of martyred commanders”
Notes: The martyr leader Khalil Al-Bahtini says in the video; "The fighter and the resistance member cannot confront this occupier except through preparation, equipping, and planning. Any opportunity that arises for the fighter or mujahid to develop, advance, and prepare against this enemy — and he neglects it — he is sinful. This is our message to all the mujahideen and all the fighters of Saraya Al-Quds: pay attention to preparation and readiness, for these are the conditions for victory and achieving success in this battle against the zionist enemy. And we ask Allah to make us among those ranks who achieve this goal."
The Pakistani prime minister just said they “won the war,” I’m not trusting any claims (literal or metaphorical) from either government or their spokespeople
I don’t have any good sources for India or Pakistan, but alleged ceasefire violations along the LoC. Could be the usual firing that happens after ceasefires though
I guess my west Asia sources work in a pinch
How? What happened?
