Because she saw that she was gonna lose. Or thought it would fly under the radar to not piss off more but somehow convince others that she meant it?

The Democrats seemed to have thought the election a game that could be won with clever tactics and moves the whole time instead of meeting the challenge head on. Truly a shit show of poor party management.

I think people all just hate each other more now. Generally stress makes little aggressions feel more extreme and the world is in fact falling apart at the seams.

Plus scientific studies have shown people with more bumper stickers were more violent and more likely to commit road rage seeing the car as an extension of themselves and interactions with the car as attacks on personal self and people are much more aware of "personal space" than before covid probably upping the sense of the car being an extension for more people.

I mean damn if Rockefeller plaza isn't nice.

But for sure everyone feels like the victim all the time now regardless of how well off you are. Maybe we are growing immune to shame? I dunno but I miss people like Hershey building a free theater and a nice garden because his employees would strike.

Society is made of the stories we tell ourselves.

Our stories have been pretty bad lately and selling fear and power fantasy still works as well as it always did.

I know it feels like bullshit and we all just say that people should just know and act better but they don't and they won't. They operate on what they think in their head is right.

I dunno. Maybe we need less stories maybe we need to tell better ones to inspire better. Maybe we do just need to BE better. I don't see it happening. We love the bad just way to much. Far more interesting.

You were given the reason why and then disagreed with it based on feeling you have about how things are instead of actual data.

Boy you sure do sound like you just got your MBA. Chasing the cheapest labor and lowest regulations really doesn't do much for the populace other than make them slave laborers for better products for the benefits of other nations.
If the wages are the same across multiple industries then it doesn't really help right? It's just taking advantage of a poor countryand enriching higher members of that country who actually do see the most profit gained.

It might help in getting advanced manufacturing set up in the country but that actually also hurts countries that rely on advanced manufacturing to keep GDP high when they are creating their competitors while doing little investment into themselves.

So yes it works to get the cheapest product possible but it's really not the super helpful beneficial concept that you think it is and the whole world is not richer for these jobs we give to them to enrich further a group that just chases the quickest profit.

From an employee I talked to it's because they have a specific contract with the payment processor and it requires using specific payment devices that are covered in the contract and they don't want off it for as long as possible because it gives them preferential fees.
So until the cost of business lost is enough to cover increased payment processing fees, don't expect to see tap to pay.

Right like it's been such a long and bumpy ride it's like, wait didn't that company collapse already? Oh shit still holding on but still crumbling slowly. Pillars rotting from the inside and these giants falling in slow motion

Terraria, it's a hot take I think but I just dislike it so much.

I dislike the controls, the appearance, the sorta jank, I just find it to be a more boring Minecraft and Minecraft can already be boring. I don't understand the love for it and I think it ruined a friendship with a group that really only wanted to play that and league of legends
