New York is not a country either. I guess it's free for the taking then!

YSK that he grew up in Yaroslavl, Russia to Russian-speaking Jewish parents. Calling him "Ukrainian" just because he was born in Odesa during the Soviet Union is misleading. He had/has close ties to the Russian state and became wealthy off of Russian oil and aluminium deposits in the 90s.

So yes, you can blame "the Russians", but you should rather blame the system.

Not even sure it's that true though. Afaik BYD is only the 14th most popular car in Denmark, and European brands have risen from around ~28% last year to ~40% this year. Sure, Chinese carmakers have had some growth - but we're talking in the order of something between 2 - 4% of the market. Might be more popular in other countrues

Look up "criticism of Amazon" or anything like that and you'll see he isn't just a good guy who happened to make a big benevolent corporation. From antitrust practices, to design theft, especially from POC, counterfeit products, special tax deals designed to contribute as little as possible, a significantly negative effect on the environment and more. Add to that Bezos' personal relationships with business and government leaders that are actively trying to keep people poor, including Trump. It's not the good-guy corporation you think it is.

And yes, when you're worth 220 billion dollars and you do nothing positive with it whatsoever, you're problematic, bordering on evil. It's greed. If Bezos gave a flying shit about humanity, imagine what kind of change he could actually do.

As a non-American I don't think I'd buy US residency even for five dollars. But do come cross the Atlantic!

This is it.. how about these dudes stopped preparing for the apocalypse that they themselves are causing, and instead changed the reality they've created, thus preventing said apocalypse from taking place in the first place..

Element here all the way!

That adds a bit more context to your stance, although it's quite narrowminded imo.

Europe is filled with tax havens from Monaco to Andorra to Ireland to the Netherlands to Luxembourg, and British overseas territories. It's not only a Swiss sport to have unfair tax systems. Other current EU members have traditionally been neutral such as Sweden, Finland (although forced), Austria etc..

Then talking about "taxes to the EU community" and mentioning Germany in a reality where German fiscal policies have dictated those of most everyone else - until they now decide it benefits them to change their own - German policies towards Russian energy, Meloni's flirtation with dictators and fascism, Spanish friendship with China, and increasing anti-EU and anti-Ukraine sentiment in most countries.

Now tell me why I should have a particularly hard stance on Switzerland? Choosing EU companies first is completely fair, but don't justify it with some holier-than-thou attitude.

You should quit your bullshit narrative. You don't do a fucking car bombing if you don't intend to hurt people - or at the very least don't give two flying shits about others. His main intention may have been to simply commit suicide, but you don't do it in that way and get any sympathy.

You're one of us then! ;)

But no, I just mean, between things like Northvolt, Think Pink, mines on Sami land etc it doesn't take Klarna to show us that many things are amiss up here. And there are many crappy companies like Klarna; Lundin Energy and Embracer Group just to name a couple. IKEA destroying ancient forests.

Not to mention that Sweden is essentially a wealth haven ruled by old aristocrats and a few oligarchs.

I'm impressed we were able to maintain such a good reputation internationally. I guess the whole world just sucks!

There are huge issues with AI, namely its very negative effect on the environment as well as being trained on misinformation.
