Seems unlikely for either to succeed, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't try, I suppose.

The problem is Tesla's stock price needs to remain sky high for it to work. That means keeping the market thinking there's a massive innovation coming soon, something huge that Tesla will have a monopoly over. Originally it was electric cars, Elon needed to convince investors they were so far ahead that competition wouldn't catch up. Then it was a fully automated factory, then humanoid robots. Now it's full self driving.

A move to ICE cars, a much more competitive market with lower margins, will be a signal that Tesla is a normal company that should be valued as such. ICE cars are also more complicated and absolutely need a dealer network for repairs. Those dealers have tremendous power over the manufacturers, too. Doesn't seem like something Elon would sign up for.

His large pouch makes it tricky to use his back hips as an indicator, it sort of pulls the skin taut in that area. Even when he was quite obviously overweight he had a visible waist. But I checked his ribs and he definitely still has a solid layer of fat.

It never occured to me that boredom might be a factor. It's gotten colder here recently so he hasn't been spending much time in his catio. I do play with him at least once a day, but he's almost 14 years old and he's not as into it anymore. I'll get him some cat grass.

Thanks

At my volunteering gig, I got into an argument with this boomer who was constantly trying to boss me around and act like I had some ulterior motive for volunteering. She wasn't anyone's boss, but she's been volunteering there for ages, so she has this attitude that she's above me. Still, I should have just let it go. They didn't text me to give me a schedule, so I guess that's over.

I was mainly doing the volunteer work to kind of practice for working again, since I've been out of the workforce a long time. I'm kind of thinking that I should just enjoy the free time I have left before I have to rejoin the grind of wage labor.

I'm making good progress on running. I've run almost 60 miles so far this month, and broke my personal record for a 10k by a fair amount. I'm going to take it a little easier next week because I definitely overtrained.

That's a funny thing about this, they were treating Alexa as if it was profitable by using a stupid metric of profitability. They were using a system that attributed to the Alexa team any increase in purchases after buying Alexa, even if they weren't purchased using Alexa.

This was a self fulfilling prophesy because they gave deeply discounted Alexas to prime subscribers, who they know purchase more from Amazon. Surely lots of people got prime just to get the discount, then the Alexa team got credit for the increase in sales that comes when people have prime.

I saw a poll they did where they asked parents if they thought public schools are good, and most people say they're bad. But when they followed up and asked specifically about the public schools their children go to, they have high opinions of them.

Same shit with crime. People think crime is off the charts everywhere else, but their community is fine.

There's a book about this called, "A libertarian walks into a bear". I enjoyed it.

I'm back on nicotine, too.

I quit smoking a year or two ago by switching to vaping and gradually reduced the nicotine dose to zero. I fell off the alcohol wagon for a few days and bought one of those disposable vapes. I haven't drank since, but I've been wasting a small fortune on those vapes.

I keep telling myself I'm going to quit again, but I've got a lot going on right now. I'm looking for work for the first time in 12 years and recently quit smoking weed. I'm afraid of changing too many things at once and having a major relapse and ending up on harder drugs again. Or at least that's what I'm telling myself.

Wishing you luck comrade!

It's not likely to be cracked, unfortunately. It has the latest denuvo and nobody has been able to crack it. Even previous denuvo versions were only able to be cracked by one person.

I think the bookstore is basically having a sale and donating the profits towards the tank. It's like bringing a soda can to get a discount at Six Flags except the profit for that day goes towards war. The soda can has no actual value to Six Flags, it's just a weird kind of coupon.

I don't have AC and haven't really needed it this year. I'm way north in New Hampshire.

We keep the heat at 63-65f(about 17c) in the winter, but occasionally go up to 67 when it's warmer out and the furnace doesn't have to work as hard to keep it there.

Dime Store Adventures makes videos about discovering and researching minor historical events.

One of my favorites is when he heard a local legend about the reason one gravestone in a small cemetery is much larger than all the rest. The legend was that the man hated his family so much that he decided to exhaust his estate with the most expensive gravestone possible. He shows how he figures out whether it was true by reading old newspapers and visiting historical societies.
