2 days and this post has fewer likes than number of companies that get your data for visiting the Verge. Holy crap, that's terrifying
Wife likes modding Sims and already bought some expansions before we moved her to Linux. They actually still add some free content sometimes, so we keep the wifey happy, and hope to almighty Gaben that EA doesn't fuck things up too bad. Good news is that she knows that when things go wrong, it's 100% on EA
Also a sysasmin, really don't wanna learn it...or have to type it on the daily
Oh absolutely, this isn't to say "Wayland bad", it's just to say that a large number of people may not have a smooth transition, so it's hard to say "just do it"
Honestly, I'm so fed up with EVERYTHING having an app. I don't need an app to pick up some Taco Bell
Different meaning for different roles, but in this case, I'm guessing they mean Relational Database Service. What I'm not sure of is the limitation, if it's that it's a relational database or that RDS would indicate that it's hosted on a PaaS (Platform as a Service) and thusly cannot run the script because you dont have OS access. My money's on the latter.
I'm dealing with that right now with my current company. They've had me working in a role 4 positions above the one my title would indicate for the last year. Being healthcare, they blamed not being able to change my job title because they can't afford increasing my pay during "these unprecedented times." Now, a year later, they're "working on updating my job title," but it's going to be a lateral title change with no change in payscale.
You bet I'm on my way out
I always see people recommend FlorisBoard, but I haven't been able to leave OpenBoard for it on the basis of never getting autocorrect to work on FlorisBoard. Is that implemented and I'm not setting it up right, or do you all manage to text with 100% accuracy?
Extensions nom nom memory, so I use as few as possible and just use uBlock, Dark Reader, and Bitwarden
I'm thankful they're finally doing something about vsync, but I'm still going to need the option for preventing app sleep when outside of viewport. It sounds like an odd complaint, but it means not being able to have a game on one virtual desktop and its wiki on the other. It means not being able to let music run while I'm working on another computer. It's running better, and I'm glad to see it starting to play nicer with Nvidia, but not quite ready to make the leap 100%
I'd looooove to see Mastodon's export/import feature on Lemmy, I've already had some servers shut down and it would've been really nice to duplicate all of my subs
You all got lunches? Maybe I should see a therapist...
