I've tried it before and it doesn't work where I am. Thinking about it now, maybe I just didn't use the right addresses. Do you have any to recommend?
And probably another one drowned while vacationing in the Bahamas.
She is the product of counter-revolution. From the way she talks, in her mind, she is still fighting down the October Revolution. Her singular goal is to destroy Russia because they dared to do something in 1917. She might as well be called a Tsarist. That's the era she lives in.
Italy remembers when Cuban doctors came to save them from Covid, at a time when everybody else just stood by and watched.
I know what you mean, but we have to assess the world in a historical materialist way and not in an idealist way.
NATO is losing credibility and is fraying. The petrodollar is collapsing. US/UK/European hegemony is retreating. That's what matters here for me. A stronger Russia, whether it is capitalist or socialist, is a good thing, because multipolarity makes the US less inclined to mess up other countries. The uprisings in Africa against neocolonialism at this point in time are not accidental or coincidental. They very much have to do with the US having its eyes elsewhere.
Was not aware of that. Thanks!
I'm guessing your company's server (or whatever other form of central hub you are using) has Edge as the default browser. Alternatively, it could be some admin default setting your IT forgot to switch off for your accounts.
RFK Jr made some convoluted comment about a study that said Askenazi Jews not getting COVID as much as others and that this would indicate COVID might have been created to target based on genetics.
Regardless if this is valid or not to suggest, the Israel lobby jumped on him right away. He's always been careful so far in saying as little as possible about Israel-Palestine but hinting he's mildly pro-Israel.
My guess is that he probably worked out some sort of deal with the Israel lobby to not interfere in his campaign, and he's trying hard to re-establish that deal, at the expense of his integrity image.
I can't say that the guy had won my sympathy before. But as Max Blumenthal commented about this "this is further proof that you can't currently be part of the Democratic party and have consistent values".
Like who?
Not to disagree, but I think that's really unlikely, unless they do a corporate merge.
Honestly, this is the biggest part that's bugging me about it the most. Meta is probably doing this to ride on the wave of the Reddit exodus, but it's not unreasonable to assume that other corporations will follow suit if Threads succeeds. And when that happens it'll be like the internet all over again. Corporations coming in and setting up ad-infested data-gathering fiefdoms that will squeeze everyone else out.
Would be good if it was only 10 minutes. Where I'm from it's 15 minute ads (with horrible sound usually too), followed by 15 minutes of trailers.
Though we don't have this bullshit with "convenience fees".
Unfortunately there isn't. The only decent one I know is the 2003 RTS Rise of Nations, which has a mode that allows you to play a very limited form of grand strategy set during the cold war (you play some cards, take a couple actions, then move your armies to enter into an RTS match with the military of another country)
I've been looking for years for the same kind of game, but it looks like nobody is interested in making it, or everyone thinks it's too hard to implement. There's a couple games that advertise themselves as Cold War simulators, but they usually only focus on a nuclear exchange, or they are really just a click-intensive RTS game happening on the world map (e.g. Supreme Ruler).
There's an upcoming grand strategy game called Espiocracy, set to release sometime in 2025. I hope it's the Cold War grand strategy we've been looking for.
Until then, HoI4 mods are all we get. The good news is you can mod them further if you wish. Changing words in events is not that hard. All you need to do is find the event in the english localization file and change the offending words. It's just a bit time-consuming if you want to do a bunch of changes.
