Considering how the Trump Regime consistently fires anyone who is competent but DEI or not glazing Trump's asshole, I think an assassin would have an easier time than usual.

That is why Luigi is my favorite character when playing Mario Golf.

I expect Musk to become the first trillionaire from all of this. Thing is, that trillion will be worth $100 Euros or any other form of currency that isn't attached to America.

May the money pit that Musk stands on, suck him in like a bog.

I think AI will be useful, but like any nascent technology, it will have to be accessible for the public before the everyman would adopt it. IMO, we are currently at the 2nd or 3rd stage in the picture below.

Unfortunately, any app that needs a GPU would be difficult to work with in a VM. You have to manually set up GPU-passthru, which requires figuring out the PCI addresses and whatnot of your card, along with using a terminal. As I understand it, this process also prevents you from using that GPU outside of the VM, which is cruddy.

I was hoping to have a Linux Mint + Windows 11 VM back in January, but that didn't work out. I am hoping that the upcoming SteamOS Desktop would make Linux friendly enough for games that aren't native to Steam, such as my GOG collection, Window 3.1 stuff like Stars!, modding, and assorted Japanese locale games.

Personally, I am guessing that the American Dollar will end up like the Weimer Republic's currencies.

I am removing my life savings from the bank and turning them into Euros. Everyone's economy will dip, but I am pretty certain America will have a Greater Depression. Unlike the Great Depression or the Weimer Republic, the annihilation of government agencies and fiscal instruments is deliberate & total.

The one cold comfort I take away from this, is that the civil war against Dogey America would end faster than if the bastards were competent.

Progressives should support a boar hunting program, along with offering assistance for moving, dismantling, and inspecting game. People who learn how to hunt, know how to shoot. That might be a very valuable skill in the times ahead.

We kill two boars with one bullet.

I think that UBI and capitalism can be combined, in a specific way: UBI gives everything a person ever needs for survival and general wellbeing, but is boring. Money isn't used for survival, but instead to purchase goods that are more suited to an individual's interests. Instead of the Generic Dress #2 that everyone may order for free, you can spend money on getting a dress with polka dots, made of silk, and so forth.

Capitalism is really good at producing entertaining items, such as music, branded foods with a twist, or Pokemon cards. However, it utterly sucks at ensuring the wellbeing of people. Thus, we should separate the concepts of survival and luxury.

Money is imaginary. It was invented for the purpose of saving time through pure convenience. Why not go a step further, and sacrifice some profit for the sake of giving everybody some security and agency? What efficiency we lose, we get back in people being able to enjoy the fruits of civilization. Money only has value if people agree that it does, and we should apply that understanding towards redefining the purpose of money: luxuries.

The elite have hoarded the value of what workers have provided to society, and then consistently throws those same workers under the bus. Your "material conditions", is just unfettered abuse.

Also, the system I laid out? It gives political agency to ordinary people, because they can protest and strike without losing their home or starving. This takes away the greatest tool of coercion that capitalism wields against workers. That is way more valuable than raw profit, because people can oppose bad actors in society. Like Schuemer, or Trump himself. Same goes for shitty workplaces - people can genuinely wait for a better job. This will force many bad companies out of business, because people want to be treated humanly.

Personally, I think they should be allowed to threaten - and for those minorities and good folk to openly promise bloody murder if the racists tried their luck.

The right-wing traditionally has a monopoly on violence, not just physical, but also in speech. When you are free of consequence, your reach will grasp ever further. Like what Trump is doing with his EOs.
