It's so heartbreaking hearing my mother wish for a white Christmas every year. They're not coming back, Mom...

I played in a FFG Star Wars group for a few months and it really was so freaking unintuitive the symbols and colors that they used. It felt like they wanted to simplify things but instead you had to keep track of green, yellow, purple, red, black, blue dice and like 5 or 6 different possible roll outcomes, you have to remember which symbol cancels which and also keep track of which skills are adding or subtracting dice...it really made me miss the simplicity of a D20.

Not necessarily cow farts, but manure, fertilizer, and landscaping.

Methane comes primarily from livestock digestion (known as enteric fermentation) and the way livestock manure is managed. It contributes the most to agricultural emissions of greenhouse gases.

The second largest contributor is nitrous oxide, which results mostly from agricultural fertilizer application to soils and from manure management.

Carbon dioxide emissions come from increased decomposition of plant matter in soils and from converting lands to agricultural uses. Those emissions are partially offset by the increased plant matter stored in cropland soils.

You're not wrong about the same gasses being created by decomposing grass and digested grass, but like most things, it's a multifaceted issue.

As they say, you can't get snakes from chicken eggs.

Surprised to find nobody has suggested exercise yet. It helps you fall asleep and gives you more energy when you're awake.

Is there a reference to Elon Musk in one of the newer Star Treks or something?

Stop the count! We finally know the answer to "How many shootings is enough?"

Just look at this guy's career. 44 years with his nose to the grindstone and boots on the ground just to have chickenhawks scream at you about "wokeness."

Title of this post: Upward of 20,000 Ukrainian amputees face trauma on a scale unseen since WWI

The title of your article: The Murder of People with Disabilities - The Nazis saw people with disabilities as an obstacle in their attempts to create an idealized "German race." In 1939, the Nazi regime began a systematic program to murder them.

What is the statement?

Is your problem with the fact that they say "since WWI"? Your "wink wink, nudge nudge, get what I mean" explanation makes no sense lol. Just say what you mean, nobody knows what the heck you're talking about.

Unfortunately, meme communities are where ironically terrible people and actual terrible people mingle and pretend that everyone else is in the same group they are.

Sealioning (also sea-lioning and sea lioning) is a type of trolling or harassment that consists of pursuing people with relentless requests for evidence, often tangential or previously addressed, while maintaining a pretense of civility and sincerity ("I'm just trying to have a debate"), and feigning ignorance of the subject matter. It may take the form of "incessant, bad-faith invitations to engage in debate", and has been likened to a denial-of-service attack targeted at human beings. The term originated with a 2014 strip of the webcomic Wondermark by David Malki, which The Independent called "the most apt description of Twitter you'll ever see".

There is an interesting conversation to be had here about gun safety on a movie set, and there should absolutely be accountability taken for what has happened. However, I can't help but notice that the vast majority of those calling for Alec's head specifically are MAGA Republicans, which makes me a bit less inclined to take their side. They have some good points, but arrived at them by starting with "he's guilty" and working backwards, which I just can't get behind.

I think he's got some culpability but isn't deserving of the public execution his politically-motivated detractors want.
