The current belief is that it can affect the brains of growing children, but they're not sure to what extent. In my state the legal age is 21, the same as for drinking. In adults, straight cannabis will not harm you in any way other than the usual effects of being under the influence and not always making rational choices. Worst case, you sleep it off. Do keep in mind that smoking it can slowly damage your lungs, the same as breathing any find particulates over a long period of time. I personally prefer edibles for long-term use, but the baking process does reduce the potency.

Now, like any drug, the reason you want to take it can be very important. If you need something to escape reality on a permanent basis, obviously you have a larger problem that no drug is ever going to solve. However the occasional evening can be quite entertaining, much like a trip to the water park. Other people (like myself) take it on a regular basis to help with medical problems, usually pain relief or sleep issues, where CBD is the answer rather than the THC component.

For myself, I've had sleeping problems for the past 16 years (since a bad car wreck). I worked with my doctor for awhile trying to find something that would help. The problem is, I'm a computer tech and I need my mind sharp for troubleshooting or writing code. All the prescription drugs leave your brain in a fog through much of the next day, and then what use am I? It turns out that marijuana has a fairly quick drop-off, so it can provide help through the night, and is pretty much out of my system by the time I head for work. As with anything, it takes some time to find the right dose. I take it along with other prescription medications to address different issues, but I've been getting good restful sleep for the past 9 years and feeling much more like myself again. For these purposes I highly recommend it, but talk to someone knowledgeable to guide you to the right strains and give advice on what to expect.

I'm curious, what part of that do you think will be good for anyone who isn't a rich which male?

Raw material, I would imagine. I don't remember exactly how replicators work in the Star Trek universe, but they either rely on energy, a raw base material, or both. You can't create something out of nothing so you would need a significant supply chain to produce your fleet.

If it were that easy, every rogue organization in the galaxy would have already done it before you.

Trump stated earlier this year that if re-elected, he would ask Israel to make the Gaza issue "go away" in under a week. It's one thing to be supplying the weapons, but quite another to have the most powerful country give their approval to do whatever it takes to end the conflict to Israel's benefit. There was a Palestinian newspaper article I saw a couple months ago that gave the opinion that under Harris they would get bombed, but under Trump they would cease to exist. Of course when I linked that in a similar discussion I was accused a picking my sources, because hey what does a Palestinian newspaper know about Palestine?

Funny how he claims he somehow won this debate, and yet for some strange reason will be replacing his campaign staff. That's not the actions of a winner. Maybe he should be taking a closer look at the real loser.

After the string of bad decisions he's already made with this company, what makes you think he's able to make good choices now? He has an echo-chamber where nobody can tell him to GTFO and that's literally the only thing he's ever getting out of it. It's kinda like if someone paid an obscene amount of money for a junker car, then paid 10x that amount to put vanity plates on it.

I'm wondering if this could actually be applied to things like crop-dusting, as it does temporarily affect the intensity of sunlight. The same might be true of any airplanes flying over the state -- oops that airliner obscured the sun for a moment and their flight path was intentional. It would be hilarious if all airlines suspended flights "just in case".

Seriously? How can any device call themselves current gen and not support something as basic as this? That's just embarrassing.

[-] Shdwdrgn@mander.xyz 19 points 11 months ago

It's all about propaganda and trying to create the illusion of evidence to gain international support. We have pretty much reached the point where "Israel claims..." has as much weight as "Russian says..." keeping in mind that Russia has also killed their own people and tried to blame it on the enemy.

Just an opinion, but if they were forced to use open standards between products then it would still be easy to tightly integrate features between the various "companies". The problem is this would also allow everyone else to play alongside them, meaning Apple would no longer have a monopoly on such things, and the open standards might even gasp be used by other operating systems. But what do I know about Apple products, they may already be using open standards?

Checking my image recordings the only thing I see as an ejection around 12 hours ago, so it would have to be a really fast burst to arrive today? Current Kp index is only at 2.3 which is pretty normal, and even NOAA's own forecast shows nothing happening. I'd say this event is a dud.

I would hang on to it for now, they could still beat you to the punch.

A couple of suggestion, however, one for this print and one for your next... Try using a random Z seam, you won't get that jagged line up one side. Also, if you hit this print with a few coats of clear-coat paint it will help fill in the gaps between layers and smooth out the whole print.
