Shit like this is why my smart tv has never been given internet access.

The software on my Samsung is so fucked that if I physically switch HDMI connections between inputs, it puts up a screen saying "switching source" despite my new source already being visible on the screen for 3-5 seconds before the tv claims to switch it. One of these days it will piss me off enough to softmod it, but right now I'm too stubborn to spend a day reading how and taking the time to do it.

How can you make a list of the best eat the rich movies without the movie Eat The Rich? How can lemmy stand for this when the movie stars Lemmy of Motorhead?

Seems like Michael Scott is suffering from pinus envy

Yes. I still use my classic regularly. 20 000+ songs on it without ever being connected to itunes. Rhythmbox for linux works great when I want to switch things up. Winamp did the job back when I was still using windows. Maybe you were forced to use itunes briefly back when the ipod was first released, but it didn't take long for other programmers to figure out how to make their software compatible.

This is really disappointing. The game does give off GOTY vibes until you realize big issues like only having one save file you can fully control, intentially vague dialogue for key quest details, and bad AI. All of which just happens to encourage mistakes that can only be fixed using items which are very limited without microtransactions. Its like an MBA took over in the final phase of development and made it a sleazy moneygrab. The fact that it is a hit means we can expect more developers to adopt this tactic and take it further. Capcom has become EA.

Thankfully I was able to get a refund on Dragons Dogma and used that money to buy Rise of the Ronin. Was not disappointed. They are very similar games but Rise of the Ronin has all the QoL features gamers have come to expect like unlimitted fast travel and saves.

Endometriosis is more common than people without vaginas realize and it often goes undiagnosed. My wife was gaslit about the pain of gyno procedures for two whole decades until the a doctor finally diagnosed her. A diagnosis which only came due a tubal ligation procedure forcing the doctors to physically see all the scar tissue inside her.

I know, but it feels like review bombing when you type one out on every platform you can find in a few hours in a fit of rage and disappointment. I feel swindled to such an extent that Capcom is now equal to EA in my mind. I had bought at least one Capcom game a year for the last three decades and now they won't get another cent from me.

The game has been out for only a few days. Many of us are learning the hard way why its bad. Because as I stated above, if you take out the sleazy greed mechanics and add a few bug fixes, the game is perfect. I was around 20 hours in when I realized the stupidity with saves and the expansive greed. Up until then, I would've told you its easily 2024 GOTY. It looks good, runs well on my ps5, the combat is both fun and diverse, the map is huge with very little empty space, the story is well written, and the pawn system is a creative way of making you feel like you're playing with others despite the game being single player.

Imagine if Baldurs Gate 3 was a free to play game rife with microtransactions, but it was built in such a way that it wasn't obvious until the second act. That's Dragons Dogma 2. Somewhere in that code is a real masterpiece of gaming, its just been killed by greed.

Dating apps work fine if you know how to date. Met my wife on PoF. Never had any issues getting dates on any of the programs and I'm a 5/10 at best.

If you have a very unique profile and provide thoughtful engagement to potential dates, you will find a partner eventually. I know it can feel like a slog sometimes, but it's still a lot less bullshit than you'd get dating random strangers the old way.

Not only that, but the logging industry has a legal obligation to reforest areas they logged and ensure those trees reach free growing status. A legal obligation that is enforced better than most environmental regulations in the country. The logging companies wouldn't plant trees AT ALL without it. In places like Russia where there isn't that regulation, they just let the cut blocks regenerate slowly on their own because its so much cheaper.

There are some baby sturgeons that Germany hopes will result in a stable population. However it will be decades before anyone can tell if that was successful. That isn't at all comparable to the Americas where somewhat stable populations have persisted. We're talking about creatures that live longer than humans and reach sexual maturity later. There is a very real chance that predators and invasive species will prevent or otherwise complicate any reintroduction efforts.

To say there are wild sturgeon in Germany when there hasn't been a known wild birth since 1964 and the few they have in their waterways were all captive bred releases from caviar farms is disingenuous.

Swimming, cooking, and self defense are the big ones I always bring up. All three will likely be really useful throughout your life.

You may not feel the need to learn to defend yourself depending on how safe your area is, but I still think its more important than people realize. Learning the physical skills as well as deescalation techniques taught in martial arts can easily save your life as well as others.
