I think OP is talking about the anti HIV PrEP pill, which is a cool thing but hard to get.

I did it all the week. I did it since decades.

Now I understand that alcohol is making me depressed with suicidal thoughts (+ all the other bad things it does).

So I’m trying to !stopdrinking@lemmy.world, failed this month but ready to start my 30 days challenge again.

Alcohol really does not help with depression or problems, it’s actually the exact opposite as all drugs do.

Let’s make a pact, when we feel down and want to drink, don’t and just go for a walk outside. We can do it.

A kind of Indian grill in Basel (Switzerland). It was rated 4.8 stars on google maps but I failed to notice that all the reviews were made by German/Swiss-German peoples (we come from the French and Italian parts of the country with a French and Italian food culture).

The hella expensive meat platter was undercooked and served with a ketchup and mayonnaise mix. Ketchup and mayo at an Indian place ! They also made us pay 2 francs for a glass of tap water when we had their most expensive dish and a bottle of wine. Fuck them, and fuck those tasteless German speaking reviewers.

All my worst food experiences happened in the German part of Switzerland so now I’m super cautious of what I eat when I travel there.

Tbh French far right and some Christian are crying here as well. Basically saying the whole ceremony was a disgrace, woke bla-bla-bla, they even criticized the kids at the beginning for being "from immigration".

The funny thing is that organizers decided to annoy the fuck out of them when the announcement of Aya Nakamura (the woman singing with the national guard during the ceremony) was received with racism from far right and twitter.

That day they said to themselves "ok, we’re going full inclusive and fuck then all".

That’s a job well done, bonus point for making maga cult cry as well from the other side of the Atlantic.

He’s a left French politician, several times candidate for presidency but never won.

He is seen as Fidel Castro boot licker by boomers (he is not), extreme left by right and extreme right (he is not).

He is a great talker but also a bit of an angry man which makes him unlikable to others.

Now is party is named "La France insoumise" (LFI) and they usually have very good political agendas, like at the last presidential it was something along the lines:

  • create the 6th republic based on true direct democracy
  • constitution is written by the French population for the French population
  • give back power to the population
  • once done, quit unless asked to stay president.

But because of his image among boomers and the right propaganda against him, he never won and his party suffer from his image.

The best thing would be to have his and LFI ideas without him. They need to find another leader for their image as Mélanchon is a liability for the left to access power.

We happened to have AI pictures of him as a dominatrix today in our French server https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/comment/12001973

Et Memel en parlant en premier vient de mettre une pression de fdp. Le NFP est républicain et se retira dans les triangulaires où ils sont 3ème.

Et toi Macron ?

L'équipe ? The sport journal read by football circle jerkers ?

You probably meant Charly Hebdo.

And France is a though subject, it is historically a welcoming country for northern Africa and Muslim population (former protectorat or colonies, same language) but France partly failed mixing its population with the boom of huge ugly suburbs in the 60/70s. They ended up being poor class zone, that became foreigners zones, that became forgotten by politics leading to their population growing poorer and angry (with a right to be). Some of those were targeted by extremism advocate as they make a good place to cultivate anger and recruit new peoples.

So France is often a target because it is historically close to Muslim populations of Africa and often the final destination when migrating to Europe because it has good social security and no language barrier, unlike Italy, Greece or UK where you have to learn a new language. France is also still very present in Africa (language, industry, politics even money bills for some) so maybe if you ask a poor lost angry boy to name one Euro country, he will probably say France.

Then of course Charly drawing Muhammad or the gov forbidding religious clothes in schools was just another easy justification to attack the country.

I think they will. Steam keeps the money for something like 30 days before taking its cut, taxes etc and pays the devs.

So normally they still have all the not yet refunded money, they won’t lose anything except time and work force (so money yeah ok…)

You also forgot the fourth option: Both.

I always wear a real watch because I collect them and they are the only jewellery I have and they complete your clothing style. They can gain value and I can give them to my kids one day (when I'll learn how to make them). Also because as a Swiss I don't really have a choice.

But I also wear an apple watch on the opposite arm, for sport reasons at first, then I got used to all the bullshit it have...

This book This Naked Mind helped me a lot to quit alcohol.

But it was my own decision, not coming from someone else.

Sadly, the stop drinking community on Lemmy is non existent or dead so you have to check the original r/stopdrinking on Reddit. Even if we left that place, this sub is just awesome, packed with useful resources and is something really hard to find elsewhere, you won't even have to post, just start by reading the sidebar and wiki.

Good luck, my problem with alcohol cost me my 13 years marriage but I got out of it mostly thanks to that subreddit, so anything is possible.
