Google doesn't pay anything in taxes

Uh. Google pays a shitload in taxes. There hasn't been a single year that they HAVEN'T paid taxes. They paid 11 billion in income taxes alone in 2022.

Oddly the "where you clicked" report does drive decisions for updates. We (as a developer) use that information to drive UI decisions and determine which flows are more important and should be more easily available

It's almost like the Lemmy audience is a thousand times smaller than the Reddit one and the dev still has bills to pay. Fewer users, fewer subscribers means you have to charge more.

If their tips don't pass the actual minimum wage, the employer is required to pay the difference up to the minimum.
